Another Melbourne lockdown.

Luckily we shifted our trip to the regions (delayed due to the lockdown here in June) to last weekend rather than this one coming, otherwise we'd have had to postpone it again.

Yerp, I've been getting to work in 10 minutes, it was back to 11 this morning.

There was a very noticeable increase though.

Hmm, should I factor in a 3, 4 or 5 minute drive to work this afternoon?
School's back isn't it? Better make it 5 as I start at 3.

Surprisingly smooth commute in this morning, thought it must've been school holidays still.

Reckon half of Adelaide must be Working From Home still.

Your drive to work would do my head in. If you use South Rd and any expressways, I'd love to know how much time (if any) these billions of dollars worth of road upgrades have saved you.

They are totally worth it, I go to Specialty Foods, Gaganis Bros and Omega Foods every fortnight and it takes inside 10 minutes from Gepps Cross.

I can then get from Torrensville to Gawler in under 30 minutes.

I sometimes have to go to Light Square in the afternoon and then out to Gawler, it takes just as much time to get to where the underpass starts (Hindmarshish) as it does to get to Gawler, it's like it's the halfway point.

Depends on your commute. If you are only using part of it, sure it saves heaps. If you are using the entire road, the bottle neck just gets moved. I travel from near Regency Rd down to Daws Rd on it for the last 18 years. Initial bottle neck was Port Rd and Anzac Hwy. This has been replaced by Thebarton Rd and Cross Rd overpass. Overall time has actually increased.
