England 2/131 at lunch
They need 237 in 2 sessions with a minimum of 63 overs remaining in the days play so they need 3.76 an over to win it. Current run rate is 2.22.

Feel at this stage England in the box seat, need to get Root out cheaply, think the run rate will accelerate this coming session

Reckon he will go on to break a fair few records.

Giving his action is so natural to him I don't think he will have to many injury worries moving forward.

At 27 years old if he can stay fit he could play to around 35 so another 8 years.

Reckon he will become a 500 wicket taker.

Spell he bowled after lunch was sensational 150k+ inswinging yorkers. Could have easily picked up 3 or 4 ,more.

Bowled 2 absolute jets to Joe Root who somehow managed to keep them out and just looked iback at Bumrah in total shock.

Reckon he breaks down. The action might be natural to him but it's not an action that will get you to 100 test matches.

Half agree, but then again it's a pretty simple lead up and action - he doesn't appear to use a lot of energy getting to the crease, or even through the crease, it's just that weird arm extension that looks tricky.

Perhaps load issues over the knee / shoulder over time might be biggest concern?

Dunno what it is but test matches involving England always seem to be great entertainment, maybe its the high variance in their performance - can look like world beaters in a session and then collapse in the next

English conditions probably assist in the entertainment factor.

A tad of green in the pitch meaning you are never truly 'in'. Always a little incentive for bowlers. Throw in changing weather that seems to amplify the contest over there, get a session of cloud cover and all a sudden its a different game to earlier when the sun was out.

Smaller ovals as well probably help. Not as easy to just work the ball around and pick the massive gaps at the MCG. You really need to hit through the field.
