Finally a coach made Alirr accountable and he couldn't go 3rd up.
They need to make the call on Dixon and move him on. Also finally play rozee as a permanent mid

100%

I couldn’t work out whether they were scared or avoiding injury for ‘next week’

Either way I wouldn’t call it a choke they were completely spooked

In sport, choking under pressure is a negative athletic experience that may have psychologically damaging effects. The media recognizes that choking is a dramatic drop in performance, whereas researchers have labeled choking as any decrease in performance under pressure.

This is why footy is so good, can have all the skill, preparation, fitness and crowd support but if you don't have the most valuable part of the body switched on it won't instruct the body to do what it needs to do. This is why any team at any level can cause upsets.

Inexcusable. Bulldogs are smashing us in every aspect of the game.

I hope Melbourne break their drought for Neale Daniher.

In my opinion they need a "reset" not a rebuild

have to phase out Motlop Gray Jonas Boak Dixon ( I have good mail Dixon is gone to GC)

That will leave Rozee Butters Duursma Wines Georgiades etc in their prime in 3/4 years time ready for a serious assault on a prelim loss to Carlton as they go back to back to back and Sam Walsh gets a statue outside the G

Yep reckon this is spot on

Disagree structure and list what you say makes sense but you cant underestimate the effect on the individual and club psyche these types of losses bring; Exhibit A the two losses in for the Dogs in 97 & 98.

Holding all the Aces going into the game Port should be planning a GF fortnight. but they lost it by avoiding the contest and that is nothing to do with the list. That's culture and individual pride in your performance.

Results like last night can take years to recover from. Laird posed this question on Glenelg after the 2009 season.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I think they need to take a step back anyway mate. Some of their quality kids don’t look like they’re going to take the next step while constantly relying on Gray and Boak. Georgiades has to take selection preference over Dixon next season. They need the Rozee types to get closer to the elite level imho
