Great selection decision IMO (for us). I'm sure we'd rather face Leach than Broad. Especially now Stokes is limping.

Because they're more focused on getting their call right so they don't look like a dill with a review, they know it doesn't matter if they over-step and they miss it, it will get seem to regardless.
But Stokes has bowled about 6 already yet none have been picked up.
Wait until someone loses a test by a couple of runs

Exactly, Australia being robbed of runs.
Have the bowlers suddenly got so quick that you can't watch the front foot then look up?
I don't think so.
The umps are just getting lazy.

Didn't we have the same issue with Ishant Sharma last year? Why isn't the third umpire reviewing every ball.

Not a bad thought. Currently he's a bit of a gun for hire in T20 comps around the world. Only played 5 tests for Afghanistan. Doubt he has a huge desire to play the extended form of the game. That said, I'd love to see the Redbacks make him an offer he couldn't refuse, ti see what he could do in Shield cricket.

IMO he's so valuable in the short game because he has the constant change up, I'd say batsmen would be able to work him out easier in the longer format as he'll bowl longer spells and be easier to pick the variations via body/run up changes for different styled deliveries.

As you said, he's probably the most valuable T20 player in the world, he'd wanna hold on to that, if we haven't secured him yet I'm not sure whether we ever will, there would be private sponsors hurling money at him.

I can’t understand why they are not calling all of them.

Stokes may have adjusted his run and dickhead would now be out.

I reckon with a bit of guidance from Shane Warne and get him to teach Rashid about giving the ball a bit of flight or slow it down a little. I reckon he could provide for us years of devastating spells against the opposition. Especially India in India. And him being only 24 and how good he is at 20/20 just shows he will only get better. Just like David Warner who came through the 20/20 system and was given a crack. Look at him now in our test side.

This is extremely depressing as an English fan. Skittled for a bugger all and then half to watch my most hated player ton up after being kissed on the old fella. Can't wait for another 4 tests of this.

Absolutely appalling over rate. Poms clearly trying to milk time. Docking some match fees might assist them to get through a sufficient number of overs in a session.
