Agreed, compliance is getting harder and harder as exposure sights increase and the risk of getting thrown into a 7 day isolation increases with it.

Pretty much gotta live in a bubble as of Friday if you don't want to risk ruining your Christmas Day plans.

That's if you catch Delta.
If you're lucky enough to get Omicron it's 14 days, even for the double jabbed!
(Or have they backflipped on that one again?).

Could you just imagine a boxing day test where your told to not see anywhere and you feel well enough to eat and drink to your hearts content.

Could only be bettered by being at the ground.

Yeh but wouldn't you be better off trying something new to get the 7 day isolation?

You just need to sign in at a bunch of gyms at the moment. Oh and that bakery in North Adelaide.

That should do it.

I have the old shed converted to a spare room or guest room. It has the bathroom attached and has wifi and a TV so it would be the likely place for a 7 day iso period.

Apparently a couple of higher degree students at Mawson Lakes UniSA have tested positive and have been spirited off to the medi-hotels.

Glad I don't work in that neck of the woods anymore.

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard has warned the state could be seeing as many as 25,000 Covid-19 cases a day in January if current infection levels remain.

Cases have more than quadrupled in a week, and Wednesday's 1,360 infections is the first time in months the state has recorded more than a thousand new cases in a single day.

Mr Hazzard said the reproductive rate of the virus was more than 1.5, with infection numbers close to doubling every two to three days.

'The simple maths...is by the end of January we could be looking at 25,000 cases every single day,' he said referencing modelling from the University of NSW during a press conference on Wednesday.

'On my maths that's about 175,000 in a week.

Numbers numbers numbers.. will there reach a point where Australia has a high enough vaccination rate, that they wont feel the need to report daily cases anymore?

I think it's information we need to know, but I think hospitalisations and ICU admissions with relevant vaccine data is more important.

It should be ie :

New cases : 26
Active cases : 394
Hospitalised : 9 ( 6 unvaccinated, 2 single dose, 1 double dose )
ICU : 1 ( unvaccinated )

But that won't fill pages and pages of papers and hours and hours of TV and radio.

That's about the only information I seek out at the moment, anything on media channels comes on and I just turn off.

I agree, and I would be happy to get that information, and i'd find it useful - whereas now i just hear xx amount of daily cases and honestly just zone out.

Vaccine doing its job then :D
Ill put my left nut on the vaccinated % contracting covid being a simlar % to the % amount of vaccinated people, ie 90% vax rate, 90% of the covid cases. Therefore proving it does absolutely nothing, Its certainly been trending that way in SA so far, very few unvaccinated testing positive.
Maybe just maybe Omicron is the vax???
