3 Tests in Pakistan, 2 Tests in Sri Lanka and then a Test vs Afghanistan in India prior to a 4-Test series against India prior to next summer. That will sort the men out from the boys.
The best thing about Green was in the last couple innings he was able to work the singles to keep the scoreboard ticking over, which was something he had to learn after last year's India series.
He seems to hit the ball as hard and cleanly and simply as anyone since Gilchrist.
It was an incredibly even effort, which probably shows a good cameraderie off the field.
Head was also instrumental in Adelaide, the counter-attacking cameo on the fourth day when we were 4/50 and not scoring took away the Poms last chance in the series.
Labuschagne was possibly the most influential when the series was on the line, but didn't finish it off.
How ordinary is the Poms batting? When we were creaming them in the 90's and early 00's, their batting at least made us work hard in the field. This series you only need to get Root out and Malan in the first couple tests, and you knew that was it. Bairstow, too, at least is a fighter. Don't know if he wants to keep, but it makes their batting look better with him at 7 rather than Buttler, who is one of Jim's Proteas pea-hearts.
