YAWN. You blokes don't know footy. Did you watch any more of the game than the 25 seconds of that hit?

FFS, get a grip. It was a poor hit, but a retaliatory hit. If you could acknowledge that then fair enough. But a dose of reality seems to have missed the lot of you.

The reality is that it was a cowardly hit.

No excuse.

So when is someone actually going to tell us how and when Schubert hit Gowans?

IF Schubert did the same thing (i.e. hit Gowans when he wasnt looking with a blatant king hit to the head) then I would accept he got what he deserved....

To Both the CDFC and NAFC congratulations on making this years GF and bring in a 30000+ crowd - up 5000 on last year.

Congratulations to Centrals on being the pace setters and record makers.
Also to North Adelaide on raising the bar to get to be in the grand final.

The challenge is there for the other 7 clubs as Centrals wont want to drop back to the pack and the Roosters will want to do an Eagles and get back to the GF to show they can win (as we did last year).

I know at Oval Ave we accept the challenge and will be doing all we can to improve to get back to the top but tonight commiserations to North Adelaide and Congratulations to the Bulldogs

I don't have an iisue with players squaring up, however, when you square up, you do it toe to toe, not a king hit

I watched the tape, he was hypnotized, here is the script:

AUSTIN POWERS
(mind-controlling)
I'm going to go across the street and get you some schubert.

J GOWANS
(trance-like)
I'm going to go across the street and get you some schubert.

Really? Watched the tape already? I saw Schubert do 3 things to deserve a crack.

Have said previously a king-hit is not the way to go, but sometimes stuff comes your way. Disappointed he chose that way to go but he did. Puts him only about 5,000 credits up in the SANFL, I reckon.

No. I haven't really seen the tape. Didn't Schubert hit him in the ribs behind play to which J Gowans followed after him and hit him in the face behind play? Hardly an even square up and uncalled for. Can not possibly defend his actions here (unless they use the Austin Powers hypnotization theory)...

So What if he did?
I saw Gowans (both of them) and plenty of others from both teams do stuff that deserved retailiation. Doesn't mean you king hit someone, off the ball and why they arn't looking, from behind in the final 2 minutes of a GF when you cleaning up their team by ten goals. Smells of cowardice to me and plenty of others smac.
Choco Williams Lives!!! We have seen the REVOLUTION come and go. You have "LIVED THE CREED". All you Power people are now gonna have to "KEEP THE FAITH". Slogan for 2010-11 PAFC.....or is it PAPFC.......I never get it right.

Cameras don't pick up everything, don't take Schubert for the good Lutheran his name would make him out to be.

Again, don't think I am excusing the hit. It was ugly and I am disappointed. But a bloke can only take so much before he bites.

still its poor form to do it from behind, the best form of squaring up is legally in play not below the belt like this

Have posted it mate. If you choose to ignore it then that's not my problem.

Your persistent comments are nothing but a tired crack at the Gowans.

If there were ealier incidents that help explain Gowans' meltdown then can a Centrals supporter who was there tell us about them - it's not as though you're letting secrets out there were 30,000 people there. If it helps paint a better picture for Gowans then go for it.

Otherwise, all we are left with is the very ordinary TV footage of the incident. It was like a time-machine took us back 30 years to the height of the biff-era
