Morning Peoples...

Firstly Our Longreach - ... didn't see your name on the list as to your real name??

Raceday Recap for penong.. was stinking hot before the first, 37 degrees, top weight was a special, s Monty took it straight to the front and never looked light getting troubled, the others leave a lot to be desired... Thankfully the wind swung aroung after that and a breeze made racing a bit more comfortable, Chucka Wobbly won the Class B, good ride by dean holland sat just behind pace and gathered in Herbert Oats horse... Albacannie Kid for Nails Haddy was monsterous run, missed the kick by 3 and stormed home... only two horses on paper could win and Unfortunately I came off second best on Regal Farce.. Got back in behind the speed and hit the line well but could gather in S. Bailey on Mulgundawa Lad who pinched a winning break at the 450.. the cup saw Sandview a short priced favourite.. jumped well from barrier 1 and held the fence comfortably.. Brookman pressed on so 'The Axe' poppedoff to sit at his girth.. at the 800 freak out 'trotted' up the inside and was going far too good for me to hold her in, Jay Burgess strode to the front by 5 at the 500m only to be collared by the stablemate Dorados on the line... Sandy battled on fairly for 3rd.. Big Win by sunny oasis in the last.. got decked out the gates.. I led comfortably on Scooby and thought was winning hope until s Monty strode up to me from near the rear at the 500m and hadnt moved on it!!!.. he raced on to win by 3, scooby stuck to his task well I though and raced it right out to run second... As the for track, was the best its been when i've ridden there..

ESKI.yes ramsey has quit and doug mcfarlane is the new coach so the rumour goes.

ramsey must still have red and blue through his veins as it typifies waybacks, when the chips are down they all go missing!

ESKI, you would look good in black and gold

ps. heard another rumour that the ravendale white elephant will have a $60,000 electronic score board erected by the port lincoln(tasman)city council, thanks to us rate payers

That's bad news for Bostons if Brian has quit. Where has Beau Jenkins gone? He is listed as an out in the times today. Will get Tasmans ins and outs next week to put on here.

Heard that rumor on Friday, but don't think it is true. Spoke to a tiger committeman on Saturday who suggested it was wrong. Was told that both Doug & Brian were in fact speaking to a couple of 'profile' footballers in Port Lincoln Friday nite...confident of signing them at that...so may pay to tread carefully with that one.

zoo poo... must be a good head job if you are prepared to wait 12 months to receive it.

Sounds like a great days racing TA, Nothing was going to catch Flamingo Fire on the dirt nover 1000, $2.30 for Sunny Oasis was great shopping for a MONTY! Well done to Simone and Scotty on their doubles, both progressing well and have a good future in the game. Freak Out started $1.80 Sandview $2.50 and amazingly Dorados $8? Cant work that out !!! Congrats to Old Herbie too on the Cup Quinella, does a good job with his old stayers.
Now moving on to Streaky, what is everyones thoughts on Odysseus running in the Streaky Cup? After racing at the top level at his last campain, wouldn't it be a shock to race out in a paddock with no outside running rail? Will you be aboard TA? The talk down here is that he should be retired. Lincoln Sea is also nominated WTF?
Anyone going up to Streaky on the Bus, anyone interested please contact Burleigh Dinnison on 86823732.
OL identity please.
Zoo Poo I heard you have been offered assistant coach to the GM. Who was a better footballer in their day Stevie Milton or Danny Milligan?
Now this 'consortium' of 6 players that are going top Bostons to help them out, great idea and if you are serious give me a call.

Streaky Bay Cup WTF....Odysseues and Lincoln Sea shouldnt be running there are the trainers greedy or what?

Now for this weeks rumuors....

Who was the punter at Penong who backed Captain Bob from $12 into $4.60....WTF.. Easy money for Smally (then again might have been a $2 EW bet)
Odyseues has been shin sore for weeks
Only two stewards were at Penong on Sat... meeting should have been called off...
'Consortium' going to Bostons will never happen and it is full of people who should retire...what are your thoughts eski?

This so called 'consortium' is gathering momentum every day. Sounds like it will have a pretty strong SAFooty theme, with esky, panther, lincoln magpie and the grub (always thought you would end up there)...what about eppie and tips...would be a pretty handy sextet...throw in brett w and hey.....final 4 here we come. Sports show starts this saturday...expect this to be a headline story...might even try to interview one of the 'rebels'......

Personally I think the consortium left its run to late. It needed to generate interest months earlier not when BW returned home. Maybe next year a "rebel" group could get together. Basically it was a group of piss pots sitting around and the idea came up, and then it went from there. Any thoughts of a move from this group I believe has been squashed.

OL, retire maybe they should, but all are more than capable of getting a kick in the PLFL which standard is declining yearly.

Spitt - played with both ... Danny for tencity and Stevie for smooth moving and skills.
Byass was a tireless worker for the club but Jason McEvoy was an EP player? WTF
Heres one for ya....Who was a better player wcp or scoob? Scoob for me... unstoppable on his day on a half forward flank STRONG GRAB....while an argument could be wcp for his MH medaL?

TA, I like the way you ride on most occasions but you would be the first to admit that Regal Farce ride was shocking and will cost you rides for Lyons in the future.... he was reported to be fuming after the race as Forster had backed it in Vanautu and lost $100,000 at 2-1. Why didnt Simone ride it? Whos riding Linc Sea in the Cup?

Heard the consortium consists of Troy Hull, Troy Smith, Wade Smith, Tom Rush, Steve Thompson and Bret Watherston are there any others?

Can we quote you on that panther?...the rebels will need to show their hand soon, mail tells me that BW will make a decision later this week.....
eski...is the hold up to do with signing more rebels or convincing the war office that they will enjoy the new head quarters?
