Your joking - this is a serious topic not a laugh-a-thon. He will be lucky to poll 1 vote Almost every player in the league looks in prime condition this time of the year but unfortunaltely that is not a criteria for MM votes!
Still a very amusing post!

Drebin, sorry mate, but not taking the piss. What I saw of Weatherley on Saturday night made me think he is one of the best recruits to land in SA in years. One of the best kicks I have ever seen and he can mark a ball as well!!

Sorry - I really though you were taking the piss! He looks like he is going okay but needs to do a little more than he is at the moment and as a FF he has only kicked 2 goals in each game in our 3 trials. He is missing a few marks thanks to soft hands - playing in Country Vic hasn't helped him. Looked alright when he had a run on the ball but I can't see him getting too many MM votes.

A bit harsh on Weatherley arent you Drebin - im sure he wouldnt like to read this comin from someone which supports his own club sayin that already only after a couple of trial games.

That was my opinion CP. Seriously do you think Parry is a MM smokey as well? Based on what - he looks in prime condition at this time of the year? As I said so do lot's of players but past form and expectation is normally what you base a prediction on this time of the year and unless I have been mssing something Parry hasn't exactly been a contender in past years. I would have though there were at least half a dozen more South players that would be more of a realistic chance and the same goes for Weatherly at North as another example.

Weather Station

Postby dash61 » Tue Mar 28, 2006 5:42 pm

Well thats what he is built like

Listen any human who thinks weatherly could win a medal (magarey) must have been shot in the war and got a medal for bravery and at the same time got brain damage, the best forward seen in the last 6 years was bradshaw and he got maybe 8 votes, seen weatherly twice and not in the same league and id argue that hargy would kick more goals at full forward

In the words of Al from Tool Time, "I don't think so Tim"

We may not make the finals but we won't come last......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Thats the whole point, it doesn't matter what I think because IT'S SOMEONE ELSES OPINION!! Parry wouldn't be my choice, but I'm not about to accuse the bloke of "joking" or turning something into a "Laugh-a-thon" for his own belief .. For someone who as recently as today derided someone for a personal attack toward yourself, that post seemed somewhat hypocritical ... See which sentence you come up with from the following words - Cake, Have, Too, It, And, Eat, My ...

Yeah CP - where was my personal attack in my original post - I put up an opinion. I didn't attack the poster personally, make fun of his name (as was the case with me earlier today)- I just disagreed with his opinion as I did with bulldogproud who picked a player from my club. How was I supposed to know they were not taking the piss or joking because how many others on here would pick Parry or Weatherly as a smokey for the MM?
