That full house I know was early but was really the only good hand I had for the first 2 rounds !!!

Yup!
I won at the Modbury in September meaning I got in on Saturday and I finished 5th there in total (3rd effectively) so the state finals are calling!

A couple of others are in them too from here.

I'm not sure how it will work this season, maybe it's the same.

There was two ways to make the finals last season...

Firstly, finish in the top 50 in the state. This is the top 50 AVERAGES in the state. But you have to have played in 25 games or more to qualify.

Then, the top 50 are taken out of each venue listing and the top five POINTS scorers from each venue (ie people who aren't already in the top 50) are in the finals too. Hence I got in.. I was 5th at the Modbury but two people in the top 5 (Andre and another) were in the top 50 so I go up to third (and 7th goes to fifth).

So playing the same venue is good if you get points and keep going, and aren't going to play 25 times

The season is only 12 weeks long so you'd have to play twice a week plus one more time to get to 25. If you aren't/can't do that... then concentrate on one venue

Seeing as this season is 12 weeks long unless you are going to play more than 2 nights a week it is a good idea to keep playing at the same pub and go for a top 5 finish.

The casino freerolls are on the 10th and 11th of November I think (you better check). Being week 2 I think you will be in the afternoon/night time one on the 10th. But you better check. They should email you anyway.
