Don't sell the farm for JHF.
Let him sit at the roos in the VFL for one more year and get him in the PSD next year for free.

As for the likes of Rioli and Rata, meh. Would take them for late picks but don't want to really give up anything for them.

As we know he only wants to come home on his terms, homesickness is not an issue, let him stay at the Roos and back in Clarko to get him to stick over the next 10 months, worth the punt I reckon...unless Port come to the party

That’s what I’d be doing if I was North. You’ve got a “super coach” coming in, back him in.

Yeah, it's not like the rest of the coaches, welfare and support networks need to improve they just need a better coach and that'll fix everything.

It will fix a lot. Clarko has his methods of doing things and it will straighten them up a fair bit.

And if they don’t get the trade done this year hopefully JHF gets pissed off and wants to get traded to Adelaide next off season

Clarko signing has ensured the signing of Zurhaar, Scott & Goldy who were all looking elsewhere.

Apart from JHF I can't think of any other player in recent times that we have lost - that we wanted to keep.

Yeah but is Clarkson definitely going to coach next year? I mean the AFL can smooth over many things and get plenty under the rug, but is this one thats just got too many legs?

I guess once the review comes out and in normal AFL practise being fully transparent, we will then know where this is at.

Changed my tune a bit here, reckon JHF hasn't shown enough this year and obviusly had some issues but when you're an interstate club you have to honour homegrown talent that wants back in the state, there's not much top talent queuing up to come to SA so paying overs is a risk you have to take IMO. What that looks like I don’t know, perhaps:

As much as I rate him, I reckon Georgiades will go home next year so if WCE want him bad enough it's a swap for pick 2. Rioli for picks 33 & 43. North get picks 2 & 8.
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.

Reckon WCE would be happy to wait for next year if he wants back to WA. Pick 2 for him would be irresponsible. The onus is on Port to get the JHF deal done and I would hope they don't blame other clubs if they can't get it done.

FFS we are not paying pick 2 for Georgiadis, we will just get him for free next year.

Nothing's guaranteed. But I can't see this happening, would rather Jackson.

"I’ve still got another two years,” he said.

“I want to focus on my footy and do my two years at North Melbourne.

“Whatever the future holds, (I don’t know), but at the moment, I’m happy at North."

Tarryn Thomas puts his potential move beyond doubt.

Do we think a few trades are done and the AFL are just holding to release for the suspense. Or do clubs really leave it to the last 12 hours to try and put pressure on the clubs their negotiating with.

He also told 7NEWS he is not going anywhere now & will see out at least the rest of his current contract which doesn’t expire until the end of 2024.
