I try to find the quickest route to an off-road track, I don't see the need to ride on the roads when there's plenty of safer options.
I'm not a big fan of drivers' attention either, I remember having to ride down Prospect Road a few times and whenever I heard a car approaching from behind or waiting to come out of a side street, I thought it could well be my last moment.
If the bikes just keep as far left as practical then everyone should be able to commute without issue.

hence its MTBing for me where I have to battle snakes, but those shouldn't kill me!
