At our cricket clubs 60 (+1) Anniversary (covid) dinner last night I was awarded life membership. Mrs Boon had arranged for Junior, his girl, Miss and her bloke, to be there to see it. I had no idea about either.

My best mate, same. Life membership. Kids there.

Brilliant night, girls did a ripping job. Very proud.

If you want to go far, go together.

Life Membership is something that really only “special” people should get so you should feel rightly pleased with yourself.

AS others have said, no one "flukes" a Life Membership. It comes on the back of sustained dedication to your club on and off the field.

Played cricket with my 16yo lad on the weekend, when the team needed a fill in, he has played 3 games now of senior cricket and got 5 wickets, been great fun and the best bit is I can see he gets a buzz out of it also.
