no matter how many clubs there are they will still be the same players representing SA. yes they may have better competition and tougher opposition at club level but they only played 1 day of club cricket prior to this game so how does it matter what standard the game was, they have close to six months of intense training trial games etc. They had trial games against WA and QLD to harden them up. i think the only way it will change is if a few bad eggs move on, and they pick blokes with the right character and temperament not the most stylish lofted drive or best bloke

Will be interesting if Gillespie and Harris can get amongst them in the next session. 3 or 4 for 40 odd??? Cricket's a funny game.

What ever they are doing down there, they are certainly mis-named.

Gillespie is capable yes but Harris?. Hes a solid bowler but as a front line quick im not so sure. We would need some fire and brimstone from the quicks for that to happen.

250 is still a possibility
After all we have a Test Double centurion and a grade cricket century maker at the crease.....

Stumps they have had one 2 day game to warm up of club cricket and in Cullen and Dizzy's case it was against the blind school prentending to be the Prospect District CC. they had Delvins the Ressies Magarey Meadlist who hasn't played for two seasons playing for crying out loud.
Clearly its a High Performance department problem the thing is that the people running that show don't know if ther ar*ehole is bored or punched and the whole SA cricket suffers beacuse of it. Underage sides continually underperform year in year out with the exception of the U/17 last season who won the tournement. I have a little knowledge of how this department is run from the women's perspective as my sister is currently in the u/19 squad and from that side it is a complete mess. Rod Marsh is a cricket coach and his current role at SACA is not suited to his talents and the systems needs a complete overhaul from the u/13 level upwards to the senior team
