I reckon if you dont know who is in your electorate you shouldnt even bother voting

Still there must be a reason why the posters are put up ?
What are they ?

PS Some suburbs its ok ...the ones with Nicole Cornes + Mia Handshin

In stark contrast some politicians should be done for false advertising, eg. Vini & J.LO the airbrush was used ad libitum  But Kate is rather nice, pity about her appalling taste in political parties.

Seriously, don't know what anyone sees in Kate Ellis. Being better looking than Amanda Vanstone doesn't make you attractive.

They were out putting these things up within 3 hours of the election being called. There should be laws in place that all posters must be taken down within 48 hours from the close of polling.

As much as I'm not a Labor voter, I must agree that their female candidates are streets ahead of the Libs in the looks department.

Do these posters have much effect? I'd say they have no impact on who people actually vote for but they do play a valuable part in building a candidates profile.

Message to Liberal candidate for Hindmarsh Rita Bouris; sack whoever designed your posters, they have very poor branding.

Interesting MT79. I'm sure I remember Michael Keenan posters being up in Duthy St Parkside at least 4 weeks after a previous state election...

We'll wait and see how quickly the candidates get them down this time!

CC, the only reason why i say that was that i heard it on the radio after the last election (possibly state) and there is a fine, if they arent down after a certain time and everytime driving down main south rd through reynella passing St Francis winery the signs hang down from the rd above it.

who pays the fine - taxpayers?????

Saw those on North East Road on Tuesday morning with the local Labor candidate posters as well.

Who has the spare time to do this? Obviously people with much stronger political beliefs than I.

It's about visibility and profile

Unfortunately once one candidate does it the other has to respond .... otherwise it looks like a one-horse race

So to get rid of them then all parties would have to agree

I am sure stats would show that candidates with better public awareness do better in the polls - those signs are a good way to raise the profile
In between signatures .....
