Hi WCP, even skinny people have heart attacks you know sometimes it doesnt matter what you weigh - it's all about what you eat surely eating all the junk funk that AG talks about will eventually harden all the arteries and make it hard for the heart to pump the blood around :o

as does smoking...

hey punkie, i haven't smoked for months loser

My diet has changed considerably since I lived with AG, getting married probably helped in this area!! I eat well these days with the occasional splurge of takeaway every now and then, like most people probably do. Poor old AG was never going to change though..... :D

I never eat the crusts tho and scoob reckons its embarrasing as when we leave I have a plate full of crusts in front of me..... sometimes when I get really full and want more I just scrape the topping of the base and just eat the topping..... now that is VALUE!!!!!

They try and fill u up with all the crusts ... dont fall for it.....
All u can eat choc mouse, nut sprinkling and icecream machine is awesome after too!!!!

This gives me the shits with fish and chip shops
FISH
About 5 years ago I switched from crumbed fish to grilled fish
I get peturbed when some shops charge more for the grilled fish

PROSECUTION
Grilled fish is put on the griller and cooked
Crumbed fish is lathered in flour for crumbing and then fried in oil
There is more time and ingredients and wholesale costs in the crumbed process
Yet some shops charge between 20C-50c extra to grill the fish

This pisses me off and I have changed shops in my locality as one shop grills at the same price

DEFENCE
The most common excuse some shops have told me is that the griller has to be scraped
and cleaned after grilling on the plate with fish
My reply is save one section of your griller for fish only like other shops do.

Ahh well grilled Catfish I mean Butterfish ....

Wow...you have the option of grilled or crumbed ???? It's dipped in batter and thrown in a fryer here...that's it...no choice  The same applies to anything you order in a fish and chip shop. I've watched while a frozen mini pizza is unwrapped and thrown straight into a deep fat fryer and the customer was asked if they wanted it in batter...you have to love the Scottish diet  :vom:

Our local F&C shop does great grilled Barramundi. I think the extra charge for grilling is that it requires more attention, and time, spent checking and turning it over. Here the boss does the grilled fish himself but leaves the fried stuff to the staff.

:D You obviously found a good quality one...trust me it can vary dramatically. One of my favourite dishes when eating out is chicken breast stuffed with haggis in a whiskey cream sauce...fabulous :D

I know it's unlikely, but if any of you try to keep an eye on your salt intake then this might be of interest:

Thanks to JAS for the following quote taken from the above link:
Pizza Hut spokesperson in response to the claim that one of their meal deals contains salt levels 4 times higher than the daily allowance for a four year old, and two times higher the allowance for an adult: "Every sensible parent knows that Pizza Hut is an enjoyable treat and we have significantly reduced the salt levels in our products over the past few years."
It is the first half of this statement that I love, even under the pressure of damning accusations about the health quality of their food, they never cease to pull a plug outta their butt. Makes me think that in the world of sales, anything negative needs to immediately be balanced out or preferably, overwhelmed by some positive talk, regardless of how far it is from answering the actual question. They could just answer "Pizza Hut is delicious" phrased differently ten times over such is their concern over the health benefits of their food.
Not only that, but those parents who do not think Pizza Hut is an enjoyable treat now carry the stigma of being branded "not a sensible parent" in the eyes of PH.
The Simpsons usually do a good job of turning this type of thinking into the comedy it deserves.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Having wanted to for ages, I tried "Wog In A Box" last week and was stoked I finally got there - Food was sensational and the husband and wife owners are really lovely.

They're on Torrens Rd and I highly recommend it - MUCH better than Fasta Pasta!!

Swung in a few weeks ago, agree it is a long way ahead of Fasta Pasta. Great feed and pretty reasonably priced.
