Wow
We copped 62mm in an hour when we visited Xi’an last time and thought that was bad enough

For comparison, Darwin expects a rainfall event of 51mm in 1 hour, once per year.

This got me looking at rain records. Reunion Island recorded 1825mm in a 24 hour period in 1966 and Holt, Missouri recorded 304mm in 42 minutes in 1947. :-B
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.

Cool breeze hit virtually in the last minute of my walk with the dog just then.
Hopefully the temp drops now and we have a cooler night.

Worked all weekend to get our 120ha (300ac) of hay baled, stacked and put in shed before this event. Finally get to kick back with a beer and watch it roll in.
So far wind, wind and more wind.
Went into Wally to get some beers and I saw a header reaping lentils by the town, in all my years farming I have never seen harvest started on YP in September/start October. Climate change, vote no

2 minutes of insane weather around 9:30pm last night at Alberton, electricity restored around 7am this morning.

Couldn't believe the lightning and thunder last night.

Usually pretty full on when it does occur, not very often I bowled from the pub end of Smithfield Oval, when I did I managed to get some wheels happening.

How weird does it look on the radar? I was wondering why we aren’t getting WA’s heat.

I had a look last night if there was a cyclone up North, usually only happens when one of them is on the move.

I reckon we've normally got weather from there when there's a cyclone/tropical depression in the Gulf of Carpentaria, and it drops pretty well straight down from there.

Can remember watching some cricket a few years ago down south, and this big black front of clouds appeared behind us and dumped a month's worth of rain in about half an hour
