They're thinking Jasper may go on a bit of a cruise across the Gulf and Arafura sea, similar to this one http://www.bom.gov.au/cyclone/history/ingrid.shtml

This one had me nervous unlike Gretel given it was Cat 5-4 as it tracked across the top of the NT

Jasper is tracking for QLD landfall a bit lower than that but we’ll see what happens.

I was up in FNQ a few months ago and didn’t get to do my skydive at Mission Beach because the weather was shite, so I have a conflict of interest to make sure it’s still there for my return, hopefully next year.
