Funny that you mention that, after going up there the last couple of years and driving through places like Innisfail and staying at Mission Beach, we found ourselves looking back at the cyclone history, like Yasi and Larry.

The lightning shows were fantastic

They would hit the ships in the harbour
I asked a Captain, once, whether it did damage to them - he said not to the modern ones but the old ships could sustain damage to their electrics

Left Adelaide this morning, arrived Broken Hill this afternoon fine and 36C 6.00pm massive thunderstorm hits I give up :evil: :shock:

Cairns had 230mm yesterday. Its had 91mm since 9am today. They could get another 500mm in the next day and a bit.

Black Mountain had 563mm in 24 hours.

Well those science types have been saying for 30 years that the weather is getting way harder to forecast due to some sort of global change.
