Jever Pils (not generally available in Australia)
Pilsener Urquell
Boags Premium Lager
Southwark Premium Lager

In no particular order

I've always considered Crown Lager as over rated, although I've never felt the need to decline one or spit it out

I bought a slab of their Dark Ale,expensive but flavoursome and a nice change from the pressurized pee I usually pour in.
Barossa Brewery make 3 different beers,Ale,Dark Ale and Lager which are available for tasting and it is well worth a visit if you are up that way.Just round the corner from the pub in Greenock.

Resch's Dark Ale from NSW? Smooth and slightly sweet? Remember it from the late 90's, and was just getting a taste for it when it seemed to disappear. Anyone else remember it?

I tried Resch's when in Canberra in 1990, foulest goo I've ever had and only beer I couldn't finish in my lifetime!
It must have improved!

I don't think it was a Dark Ale I had, but another Resch's beer.

Barefoot Radler

Postby GWW » Mon Mar 10, 2008 5:33 pm

I generally drink Pale Ale, but tried a Barefoot Radler whilst at the Fringe, Garden of Earthly Delights, last night.

Great beer, it has a touch of lemon and lime in it, I really hope they serve it at a few more places around town.

Tried it and thought that this was the beer that I needed when i was 16, hated the taste of beer but just drank it. This is the "radler" style of beer to the extreme, so much that Im sure I could tell it apart from a soft drink.
