good innings from Manou, he looks like he has got control of his game

given the good start, 207 is a little disappointing, however, given the mid order collapse, not a bad recovery

207 will be competitive if Tait and Dizzy can bowl well

Manou was very good today. 207 is an alright score considering the collapse, but we made such a good start we should have put on more.

Let's hope our bowlers are switched on.

That would be one of Manous best innings for SA 50 off 54 balls, when the side really needed him and help us make a target that our bowlers came have a crack at

SA 4/110

i guess the elevated heart rate was a combination of being in the middle for so long which was becoming an unfamiliar place, so he would have been uncomfortable + the fact he was closing in on a 50 which would have been his first in how long!!!!!!

Good captaincy by Adcock..bring back Tait to get the much needed wicket..second ball, have a guess...yes WIDE, fourth ball, yes WIDE, fifth ball, legside half volley, FOUR, followed by yes you guessed it WIDE.
Result 10 runs
Okay brings back Dizzy, Mr Reliable, second ball....WIDE..followed by wide half volley FOUR

Adcock has made the right decisions here...strike bowlers back to get a wickets and they are killing him

Its going. going nearly gone
Tasmaina need 63 off 117 with 8 wickets in hand.
Bowling depth has been brought to the fore today in this game and the Sri Lankan tour game where both SA bowlers are performing poorly.

SA bowlers today
SA vs Tasmania
Tait 3/44 (9 overs) (customary 4 wides 2 no balls)
Gillespie 0/39 (7 overs)
Harris 0/43 (8 overs)
Cullen 1/45 (6 overs)
Lehmann 0/19 (5 overs)
Cosgrove 0/24 (2 overs)
SA bowlers vs Sri Lanka
Rofe 0/82 (18 overs)
Bailey 0/100 (16 overs)

Not pretty reading - who else is there
Adcock?? (he bowled 8 overs in the first game)

Gets even worse if there is no Tait
Will Cleary ever get a game again????

Some of the SA top order could do worse than look at the WAY Tom Plant has constructed his innings vs Sri Lanka. Sure he is not scoring at at 'Simon Katich rate', but he was involved in an 86 run partnership and has put a great value on his wicket, while playing against some world class bowling.

To be honest, lately the only thing I have seen from cullen bailey is long hops that end up where they deserve. I think he needs some more time to develop before we consider him a front line spin bowler for SA. I feel cleary is badly needed in our team.

If the batsman fail again he should be next in line to show what he can do. By all reports he has battled hard all day through a green top and crap weather against half of the Test attack.

Jason Borgas has responded in Grade cricket yesterday scoring 151, his brother at least got off the mark this time scoring 38.
