Unreal turnout and match at Pertaringa today! Great to see the masses turn out for the derby

Couldn't get to Harpers today so only watched the stream.

One of the most watchable games of AdFL i've seen in years in respect of end to end footy scoring goals and big performances from the bigger named players like Nunn, Glenn, McKenzie, Johnston etc.

Great stuff.

Only guarantees in Div 1 this season.....Glenunga and SHOC will play finals.
All other finals positions and relegation are up for grabs.

Might head out and have a look at the big game between Dizzies and Glenunga tomorow.
Should be a lot closer than last time they met

Should be a great day at Webb Oval tomorrow. Dizzies finding form and Rams unbeaten.

BBQ is back in Club hands, too, not a third-party operator, so should be a return to good fare at reasonable prices!

Is this why most clubs in the higher tiers have such terrible canteen set ups?

Can't speak for other clubs, but it was a first this season. Unfortunately, outside enterprises run it as a business, rather than a service to the club and supporters. As with most things, the hardest part is finding volunteers.

True, but the best solution to lack of volunteers is to roster players.

For the AdFL, A's could do it C grade, then C's for B grade, then Bs for A grade. Players do it once or twice a year that way.

I went out to the SHOC v St Peters game on the weekend. Skills were not great but that cross wind played havoc.
Close game for 2nd vs bottom, St Peters were all over SHOC early then the SHOC class won out in the end by about 30 pts.

I said tiers, meaning div 2 as well. Maybe most is a stretch, but a fair few of them aren't great at all.

Brighton is very ordinary, you didn't miss anything last week!

I thought the food was good last year, as it was again on the weekend.

I hope your sponsors don't read the forum, Jimmy, they may not be too happy.....
