Yeah you're right, they should be protecting Dixon instead...
He's going for a couple of weeks, can't choose to bump and concuss someone these days.

No AFL in the SANFL thanks.

We all know he's done but he'll play the year out as best he can to support the senior side in any post season action we may or may not have ahead of us.

He's given the club everything he could, anyone who thinks he hasn't given his all knows nothing about the game and as a fan that's all you can ask. Some of his team mates could learn a thing or two from him.

I know I’m in the absolute minority and that’s fine, and I’m by no means a fan of Dixon, but IMO that was a classic shirtfront that would have been a textbook bump not long ago.

Yes, protect players and their health as much as possible, but that bump is what footy is all about.

There won’t be a game either worth playing or watching the way it’s going; some say that time is already here, but there is no such thing as a contact sport with no risk.

Correct weight, I’m a dinosaur and proud of it. :YMPEACE:

Got him in the head, so its not a classic shirt front.
I am all for it if they don't hit the head.

That’s your opinion and I respect that, I saw it when it happened and have watched many replays, and IMO he got him in the chest.

Agree that if he did collect his head then pays the price, but I just can’t see it in this instance, even when I slow it down. His head does rock back, so I understand that it seems like he was hit in the head, but again, IMO, it was the force of the hit on his chest.

Cheers.

Never heard of someone being concussed from a hit to the chest. Anyway, he got 3 weeks.

It looked like it was the whiplash action and his head hitting the ground that did the damage

I’m with you.
I thought it was a textbook bump.
It’s just that Dixon is 115kg that concussed him.

But you can’t do that anymore apparently

This is well established, i'm not sure why everyone keeps getting surprised by the suspensions.

No one is surprised, we just don’t agree with it.
Let’s be honest Dixon could have knocked him into next week if he really wanted to.

I still think we need a place for the bump.
