Re: I need to know....
Anyone know a cabinet maker or handyman who does new laundry cabinets/benchtops in the Marion Area?

This isn't at all related to any shenanigans in another thread, but what greeting gets your back up?
The obvious "champ" is one, although most of the time I feel it's done for laughs in a real life setting.
Any others get your goat?

Go to Bunnings, all made of the same material as a cabinet maker would charge you triple for. Workout your design to suit the standard sizes on offer, buy a jigsaw and holesaw for your sink cut out. Easy

Yeah I’m buying the kaboodle range from Bunnings as well as benchtops.
All off the shelf that fits my laundry.
Just don’t have time to do it so looking for a cabinet maker to do it but they want a huge amount to install it.
So I’m going to have to give up a full weekend now to do it myself
I have all the tools required already thankfully

Re: I need to know....
How awesome would it be if we moved our clocks back a further hour for May to August.
Sure it would stuff up the evenings, which there isn't much of anyway, but think of the daylight it would give us in the mornings

What is the lowest amount of money you would bend down to pick up off the street these days?
I saw a $2 coin on the footpath yesterday and must admit, thought twice about bothering to pick it up but did anyway but it got me thinking...is it folding money now or just leave it?

I used to glue $1 coins to the ground on the walkway to our factory when I worked in the factory, it was hilarious seeing people try and discreetly pick it up or kick it along to somewhere less obvious.

I wouldn't pick up anything under 50c, but then again I'm not Dutch.

When I worked in pubs we’d tear the corner off a $50 note & place it under a bar mat so it was just visible. You’d watch as people spotted it, looked around thinking they’d scored & then the look on their face when they slid it out… priceless

I pick any coin up due to the old poem:
See a penny, pick it up
All that day, you'll have good luck
Clearly not working out how I anticipated.

My first thought was gold coin - pick it up, silver - leave it.MW wrote:What is the lowest amount of money you would bend down to pick up off the street these days?

But I think I'd have to pick up a 50c piece. There's just something about a dodecahedron that I don't think I could walk past.
