Hopefully he does a Mitch Johnson and after a positive batting spell at the crease he comes out and skittles the Poms top order. No stats to back up Mitch's bowling performances being better after contributing with the bat but it always appeared that he found that extra pep after being involved in the game with the bat.

Definitely a confidence thing I reckon and hopefully he does, he's found it tough in the three innings that he's bowled in so far in this series, the commentators have mentioned that he has come in underdone. For now hopefully he and De Silva drag this partnership out for as long a as possible, 49 at the moment.

It's not the first time we've seen touring teams get pumped in the first Test, then do much better in the 2nd. How much that comes down to limited time in the country beforehand, I've seen debated. It must play a part though.

People in the crowd should be on the lookout for sixes hit into the stands, in Shamar Joseph's case, it's falling tiles.

Need more than 1 warm up match and a training camp. Even teams coming to Australia need at least 2 games.

This partnership is also putting some extra kms on the Poms bowling squad legs which is also a good thing.

A hilariously frustrating partnership (for England) is done, Windies lead by 41.

Day 4, England 3/306, lead by 265.
Brook 101* (124)

Root has surpassed Chanderpaul and now has the eighth most runs in test cricket (isn't far from Lara now aswell).

Leads over 300. How much is enough for the Poms? Pitch showing any gremlins?

3rd test between England at the Windies starts tonight

Probably another easy win to England, Windies are not up to test standard

I hope not but yeah will probably be 3-0. The Windies first innings in the last test was exciting and there was hope of them pushing England but then getting rolled in the second innings was frustrating.

England's team unchanged, Kevin Sinclair has a fractured forearm so is out for the Windies and Shamar Joseph may be out too but he's done sweet FA with the ball anyway.

Didn't watch last night but watched the highlights earlier, I see even Bazball is not immune to using a night-watchman. They really are changing test cricket!
