Unsure what is wrong with the BBQ... When I was there a couple weeks ago it was doing a raring trade... prices were great, food was decent and a good offering and it looked like C/B graders were working it during the A Grade.

As an observer Glenunga looks like it has improved vastly not just on the field, but off it as well.

Jimmy's not a fan 'cos Glenunga don't do paella or sell Coopers (not actually sure how any Club is allowed to do that with the League sponsorship!).

But, to be fair, up until about 3-4 weeks ago, the bbq was done by an external caterer. The quality and cost has improved dramatically since the Club took it back over.

(The $10 paella was very nice when we were there a couple of weeks ago!)

I haven't been back since the BBQ change
PS: I dont eat Paella

St Peters beat Broadies
Brighton beat TT Gully

more excitement in the relegation zone than the top 3

Some really big games coming in the last two rounds, starting next week with Broadies who are now 9th and TTG who are bottom. PAOC aren’t safe yet either with PNU and SHOC to come and the worst % in the comp, surely not. Pretty exciting :D

Cant see PAOC winning either of their last 2, Broadies have TTG and Brighton both at Broadies, with TTG having Golden Grove in the last game.

Broadies have lost i think 6 of the last 7, their last 10 minutes today was not pretty going to need huge lift

Districts real good.

Just have the grand final between them and Glenunga. Rest of the comp playing for third

i tend to agree with Jim and have been saying that since very early this year. Port coming good at the right time of the year with that list look the very likely suitors.

Speaking to all the Coaches they rate GG highly but realistically to get there they will need to win 2 away finals and a Prelim against SHOC or Port. That's a very tough ask.

The way its looking now and hasn't Div 1 thrown up some weird shit so i could be wrong the Elimination Final will be at the Falconry.
A Div 2 Grand Final rematch. That would be a massive game with a huge crowd. PNU having beaten the Kookas twice this year themselves.

I went ot the PNU v PD game on Saturday

Dizzies were very good.
PNU weren't bad - they were just outclassed
I hate it when coaches say "we didn't play as we should have hence we lost"
Completely disregards the opposition and the fact that they just played better
Both sides looked fit and were full of running and structures
I thought the difference was Dizzies scored more easily when they went into their forward lines
I am waiting to see the analysis on Between The Posts to see whether I am correct or not

Haha that's the funniest thing i have read on here for a while, well played

I cant really remember what was said but i think the commentators notes intimated it was a fairly open game for a div 1 contest and the lack of PNU pressure allowed Districts free flowing ball movement which was hard to stop. As you said Port scored easier thus 19.6 but was still 25 SS to 21.

I think the key when playing Port is you must start well. I believe they have been in front at QT in all but one of their wins. They have trailed at the first break in all but one of their losses.

Rarely if ever hear the PNU coach accept that his side was beaten by someone better on the day........always that PNU were not playing well on the day....disrespectful to the opposition imo

It's a tough one to analyse.

Seems pretty cut and dry to me, the SHOC bloke whacks the Broadview bloke, breaks his jaw, ergo plenty of weeks

Seems no report was made as no one was listed as suspended in the weekly reports

Yeah, I was surprised too

6 weeks.. says appeal (SANFL) - does that mean it was appealed by the SANFL or to the SANFL?

Big loss for SHOC. Explains why he didn't play last weekend, though.

One round to go and relegation still not sorted

PAOC are safe
Broadview, Brighton, St. Peters & tea Tree Gully still a chance

St Peters beat Glenunga by 7 points, PAOC beat PNU by a point, Golden Grove beat SHOC by 2 goals, Port District easily over Brighton and TT Gully easily over a disappointing Broadview

Div 1 has just become a minefield. Next week’s clash Broadview v Brighton will be an interesting game, 2 coaches who are great mates and both saying they aren’t going on next year in a battle to save their clubs from relegation. Good luck to them both.

Extraordinary.

Particularly knowing that the gap between D2 and D1 is closer such that getting relegated as a good and unlucky D1 side doesn’t mean come straight back up anymore
