She also had a few other issues. Whilst not severe they probably all accumulated over time as she got older.

Not sure any of her progeny have done anything significant??

I know that’s the industry but doesn’t sound like she had a great life in retirement

Why do you say that Jim?
Died whilst giving birth to foal number 9 in a 10 year period.
Basically she was pregnant for most of her life since retirement so as to make more money from her owners that had already made a packet off her.

Yeah not loving the fact she was a walking foal factory.
Just greedy buggers in my opinion.
Has any of her progeny done anything?

Why are they greedy?

That’s what happens at studs.

I believe they have kept them all not sold them. Couple have been ok but no “good ones” as yet.

Horses gestate for around 330 days, if she's having foal number 9 in her 10th year at stud she has basically been in foal the whole time. Not sure even the hardest of racing supporters could say that's treating her very well.

If it all about money then she would have raced on.

Gee I dunno, being constantly pregnant for ten years after such a brilliant racing career just seems cruel.

Maybe give her a year off occasionally?

I know bugger all about breeding horses, but I can't see how this is respecting an animal that won the owners plenty of cash and a bloody good time.

Lion's Road second. 1600m too short for it IMO.

Junipal on their heels 5th or 6th but missed the kick from an inside draw. Settles closer and its in the finish. Flat.
