Looks like modbury and athelstone have had a fair share of injuries and seem to be stumbling to the finish line but should be a great final series.

If the weather is good, Modbury's bigs are a huge headache for any team. Throw in Ah Matt and his ability to get out the back and it's one impressive forward line. Verity is a gun, Hearing;'s hands are amazing, and West is a very good ruck and dangerous when resting up front.

I believe verity and west are out for the rest of the year. Both didn’t play on weekend.

Modbury have a huge injury list and have had this for the last 8 weeks. Something like 6 out for the year. 3 of the occurred in around round 4. I think you will find Verity and West will be back. Modbury have still be fighting hard. Lost to Athelstan 2 weeks ago by 8 points. Last week 3 points down at 3/4 time before Flinders win by 5.

Massive chance Adel Uni are in Div 3 next year
Could lose to Goodwood and Old Igs only playing Edwardstown (will jump them with %)
Wouldnt think Uni would've ever been in div 3 before

To be fair, they probably should've been there this year. Gained an extra win and huge percentage bump last year due to Salisbury North's admin issue that ended up putting Henley down instead.

Probably would be a fitting result, their last games against Edwardstown had them with a loss in the magoos and a close win in the seniors. Of the games I've seen, it's out of them and Iggs as to who is the second most crap

They cant keep doing what they are doing
I'm not sure how they fix it but expecting something different............ well, you know.............

D1R games PNU v PD last Saturday - the two of them would beat a lot of A Grade sides and they are not even in the top 4 of D1R

Haven’t seen many SN games. Winning games with injuries every week. Big inclusions still to come in leading into the finals.

Rocs and Modbury for mine. Saw the Rostrevor boys train Tuesday and had great numbers on the track as could be expected going into finals. Thjey looked pretty sharp. I expect them in the top flight next year.

Wonder if Caleb Barton will be going through the concussion protocol given the footage Anything is Content has placed up questioning whether the Flinders Park player should get weeks.

Would be interesting to know that if there is footage like this and the AdFL were aware of it would they request to see a doctor's clearance or the club documentation from the game day if he was named this week.

Heard a rumour today a Div 2 club is being investigated after a player qualified for A grade finals playing C grade for 2 weeks. But those 2 weeks he was on Port Magpies injury list with a calf.

Interesting to see the outcome,

Who's doing the investigation? Just because you're listed as injured doesn't mean you're excluded from playing. Might cost the player his gig with the Pear reserves, but that's it

I think it’s a SAAFL investigation.
If you’re an sANFL player and you’re injured.
You are not playing C2s.

Dodgey if you ask me

I’m with the Joker on this. Let’s not beat around the bush. A lad named Calvett played R1 for Athelstone when his primary club was WWT. Played a few Res. Games for WWT then heads to Port as a top up. Plays 4 games for Port then his next 2 games in the Athelstone C grade (give me a spell). Then plays no footy for several weeks before resuming games with Port. Then Athelstone get him in for a game in their A grade in Round 17. So that was his AdFL minor round. 2 A grade and 2 very dubious C grade.

OK, so he may have suited up for the C grade and made it on the ground for a few minutes but surely a please explain is in order. If there is no proof he didn’t “play” those C grade games then the Regs say he is qualified. Doesn’t mean it’s right and very very poor form from a club that is generally regarded as a model citizen.
