I don't think he's sooking about his contract, just his injury.

Daniels to 2031 is ridiculous. These crazy long term deals should be banned.

I would crack the sads if ICU staff told me this was similar to what you'd expect from a car crash victim. Perhaps he should have done more neck weights

I couldn't care less about his brand or whatever.
Mate you signed a contract, harden the **** up mummy's boy and see out your contract.
Dunstall and Hird had massive head injuries that could've been life threatening but they never sooked it.

Great player, no doubt, and if by some miracle we got him at the pies I'd take it. But we don't really need him.
Similar player to DeGoey, most would say better than, but if he's going to sook it when he cops a nasty injury then he's too high maintenance for us.

I'm starting to think long term contracts carry the kiss of death.
Apart from Buddy all the other long termers (Treloar,Grundy etc) have all been offloaded.

Where and when has Petracca sooked and been a mummy's boy? As far as I knew he's been silent about all this and copped criticism because he has been silent and not said anything publicly about his contract?

Like I said a few pages back, it's just a vibe he gives off.
He could of said no when asked if he could continue. That's on him.
If he said no I'm not right then there's no way the doc is letting him back on field.
Yes it was a bad prang but just recover get around your TEAM and move on.
Others have lost kidneys, split spleens and fractured skulls etc but just processed it and moved on.

If he wants out because of his brand being tarnished, what does that tell you?
Why is he punishing the club that got him a brownlow and a flag?
Just seems extremely self centered for mine.

Geez, the amount of assumptions with bugger all evidence you've made in this post...

Why crack the sads, that isn't going to aid a healthy recovery?
Count his blessings that he didn't lose a kidney or die.

There's lots of footy injuries (howies busted arm last year) that can be compared to a car or bike accident victim.

Bolton and Baker ask to be traded back to WA.
Richmond are going to get a stack of draft picks in a pretty decent draft

Ive said it before. is it just possible that the clubs are signing their stars to long term deals as it leaves the clubs in the driving seat when it comes to a trade? Players have too much power, its about the only time the clubs can drive a trade

Kossie would be a great fit for Port. Will take a couple of first rounders but they might be able to turn Houston plus something else into Kossie

We'd want a 1st + something under 30 for Houston, they'd want the same for Pickett. Problem Melbourne may well encounter is players wanting out and if the reports are true they don't really hold the whip hand.

Too much player power. PLayers under contract asking to be traded is one thing, then demanding where to be traded. Should be able to trade players when you want and wherever you get the best deal. Teams need to do what is best for them, not a disgruntled player. If they can get 3 first rounders from North Melbourne for example then thats where he's going, If port or Adelaide come up with the best deal then he goes there. Dont like it, dont play

I said years and years ago player agents will be the scourge of the AFL one day and they are.

Anyone who works on a commission based system isn't in it for the client. Hello Real Estate agents.

I get what you say but this week we are hearing about players who have done everything right have provided outstanding professional services to their clubs but are being shown the door.

it's not a perfect system.

I don't begrudge the players, while they can, screwing the clubs out of every last dollar as there is going to come a time, for the majority of them, when they are going to be shown the door without even a hint of remorse from the list management committee.

Or at best it's going to be you want to stay in the system here's your minimum chips offer, if you don't like go and get a real job
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
