That said, I don’t get why Harris didn’t state the obvious to say that US consumers are the ones that have to pay tariffs, not trading partners, so it’s a significant tax increase.

Harris didn’t answer the first question, nor correct the moderator who said that she was elected with Trump instead of Biden.

In reality, they’re only playing to a very small number of voters because most have seemingly made their mind up.
