Talk on the national game

An absolute mess of stupidty all round here.

If the GWS players wanted a truly private function, then do it at a players home and have no outsiders at all. They clearly knew this was going to be a bit dodgy and alarm bells should have been going off then that perhaps this isn't a good idea.

Even if you hire a private function room at a pub, you aren't locked in the war room at the white house, there will still he people there doing there job and workplaces have a responsibility to their staff to maintain a work place that isn't dodgy as shit.

It's been pretty clear the AFL hate looking like hypocrites and anything that's a bad look or a bad image (excluding doing drugs and passing out in night clubs) would be hit hard.

It was a dumb to conceive the idea and an even dumber choice to execute it.

The players do know better as they have been educated on standards innumerate times (and the AFL have the receipts on this as they delivered the training).

The ‘we only did it because we thought no one was watching’ (ie the function was private) excuse never cuts it.

Debate the penalty, but don’t debate that they should be accountable.

Stupid is as stupid does, and they were very stupid.

Interesting comments from the GWS women's side coach blaming their second half fade out today due to the mental toll put on his players from the actions of the mens senior side well documented, nothing to do with top playing 16th

Just read a report that the bartender wasnt present, he viewed it on CCTV so it was totally 100% private. therefore none of his business nor the AFL's.

The AFL media spin team has been working overtime on this with all media partners condemning it after alot of them said initially the AFL was too harsh.

Again, had it involved any stars there wouldnt have been any suspensions, only fines which is the very most anyone shouldve copped

Ok then where's the report?

If he was asked to leave but watched it on cctv then he gets the sack minimum.
Invasion of privacy, I said it before.

Man this barman really is getting the full 15.
Hope he thinks it was worth it. *Coughwanker*

WTF is wrong with you people. Regardless of who saw it (live or on CCTV), the f..kwits simulated an alleged rape with a blow up doll and simulated an alleged sex act with a minor. It's not acceptable. Period.

First I've heard about a minor?
We all have a right to an opinion and mine is it's nobody's business what other people do in private.
Unless it's illegal or putting others at risk.
Now I think it's a pretty tasteless subject matter but it's still a private party.
It's acting, you know like the flicks!

Give them all a warning about it and move on.
4 weeks suspension is simply ridiculous.

At what point does it become "not private"?

At what point does it become "not private"?

Got dragged into a convo about this on Saturday at the cricket, it appeared as though I was alone with my thoughts, a coupe of other blokes were getting shitty that I didn't agree with them and tried to ridicule me because I withdrew from the conversation.

It's funny how not arguing apparently means you lost the battle and are wrong

I simply don't argue with people, they won't change my opinion and I don't really care if I can't change theirs.

At what point does it become "not private"?

When someone not invited enters the room.

So if I was to beat you to a pulp, in private, it would be okay as it’s no one else’s business.

Given it was captured on cctv (which is everywhere), can you define 'enters the room'?
