Clubs put on a good behaviour bonds as per the PDCA Facebook post.

It'll be interesting to see how Hazara recover and if they're able to field a side moving forward - I heard in the vicinity of 7 players were suspended.

The sceptic in me thinks they may just end up playing under a different name, and no one will know.. also part of the challenge when the broader community don't know who was suspended or for how long.

90 games all up, can't be accused of being a wet lettuce now.

Last Saturday morning they were still crying out for a player to make a side. If they've had a few every week cricketers suspended, how are they going to get a team??

I don't know if last Saturday was a one-off struggle for a team but just saw a few of their players posting.

DJ McIntyre to come out of retirement and save the day! :D

I believe they've only lost 2x players for the season - Woody + Kershaw - Deeble gone until xmas.

Let me guess its out of character for Woody and just unlucky to now be suspended for footy and cricket. Story i heard is he was defending people but not going about it the right way, i guess he'll never learn

Obviously was bad blood between the two clubs, and would've been a fair bit of verbal. Sad to see it escalated to the point it did that resulted in this.

Units have never really been shy to get on the lip, and knowing how stubborn and proud some afghans can be, I couldn't see Hazara backing down either.

Woody has also been lippy - you can be I guess when you destroy teams every week - but wouldn't say i've ever known him to be overly aggressive / violent etc.. so I would think this behavior is out of the ordinary.

More likely a reflection on the day, the two teams, and an umpire who possibly didn't do enough to reign in the standards earlier.

Would have to agree, never heard to much out of him to be honest. Probably was more of a reflection that i was no match for him especially the days when he was at the peak of his powers.

I have been told that the game went fairly well until just after tea other than one outburst just before tea for a non stumping but Fenwick and the umpire settled things down and play continued with a new square leg umpire. A few overs after tea a Hazara player couldn't find the boundary after being caught in the deep and was reported multiple times for his actions and words. Fenwick was off the oval after that incident keeping the peace, shook hands with Hazara, and came back on the oval. Then all hell broke loose due to comments from the boundary and everyone thinks they knows the rest.

This does not surprise me at all. Units get a bad wrap, and sometimes deservedly but knowing Fenwick for god knows how long, Its a credit to him that he was trying to calm things down. Goes to show that when penalties are handed out like this and the Captain of the side doesn't get any penalties himself, means that he was actively trying to defuse the situation. Can't speak a bad work about the guy and feel sorry for him a bit in all this.

Fez with back to back 100’s, as good as Lay and the rest of the comp has been for 10 years, Meredith still the best batter to watch when on song in this comp! Destructively glorious. Well done bloke.

Played on the weekend by the looks.

Maybe he did and it got overturned. I can't see him fueling fire in the moment. Would have been doing everything he could have to stop it.

Nope, he didn't, him and the umpire were trying to diffuse the situation.
