Why so FC? If I were coaching Iggies I'd be perpetually worried players would leave to join the Swiss Guard or get a job as a clown.

Early poll indications seem to be predicting Kilburn. We will be the Kevin 07 of 08. By the way everyone vote greens, they are the only party left with any credibility, then give preferences to Labor. Does exactly the same thing as voting for labor but gives the greens a bit more support.

Goodness. A bit down on my club there. Well, I'm tipping my boys Igs against whoever your guys are? Out of interest, the Swiss Guard????

I hope you are right. They should have been booted out two seasons ago after their gutless performance against Payneham in the GF. Hope they get their marching orders and I'm sure there are plenty out there who agree with me.

Iggies have the potential to beat any side on their day. Problem is they don't work hard enough off the field and lack leadership.

I think those points probably apply to a hell of a lot of Old Scholar clubs comprised of (mainly) students making their way through uni, or just starting in the workforce. Our problem through our history has often been a focus on the social side, but here's hoping the younger blokes realise (as the old guys know) that the chances go pretty quickly, no matter what level of the game you playing.

The Swiss Guard guard the Vatican, they have silly uniforms that look like yours. Same thing with the clowns, just having a laugh at your jumper.

With you now. We've always preferred to describe it internally as the right to wear the 'Jellybean'. Can't say I've ever heard Swiss Guard among the regular references to Catholic 'insert epithet of choice here' during various tours of duty between 81-94, but that's actually pretty complimentary compared to most.

Will be an interesting comp next season and it is way too early to start making predictions.

I think pretty much all sides will be expecting to play finals in 08.

Sides like SPOC, Eastern Park and Flinders Park that didnt make the finals last year in Div 3 were definitely improving towards the end of last season so they will be in the mix.

You would expect Walkies, Igs and Salisbury West to be around the mark.

The sides coming down havent been in div 3 for a while and you would expect them to be strong with all their resources compared with some of the smaller clubs.

History generally shows that the sides coming up from Div 4 generally do pretty well also with sides like Payneham, Modbury and Pembroke going from Div 4 to Div 2 pretty quickly.

How is that for having a bet each way!!!

When do teams start preseason training. Have seen Uni out but doubt many others would be out yet. Kilburn doesn't start till January but have seen some of the boys out running. Does wearing skins make us look professional or like twats?

If they're gonna be doing it over summer, twats. In winter, I don't mind them.

We're starting late November.

I put a sock down mine rog. Love the space so that d ick doesn't get censored. We're starting heaps later than usual, however when starting earlier there has been f uck all people and it puts new people off to see a lack of commitment.

Always wear shorts over the top otherwise feel the wrath

I have begun wearing them at home after a long day playing cricket and surprisingly they actually work you wake up feeling much better and are actually able to walk on a sunday without looking like a twat. Still debating weather to wear them out on the town underneath jeans...............relieving one's self could be a little difficult after a few beverages :drinkers: :partyman:

After a game of footy I wear them out to town underneath. Makes heaps of difference to how sore your legs are. Yes it is a little hard to take a piss. One night I ended up at the strippers and I'll tell you it's a hell of a lot harder to crack a stiffy.

As a current div 3 player how do the other people on this forum rate the division 3 comp compared to other leagues and how far away is the standard from div 1/2. is it just depth of players or the way the whole footy club/clubs are run?
