Mate, that's like whinging over being stumped before over is called!!

How hard is it at any Grade of premier cricket to not have at least two new rocks.

Port well within their rights IMO not to give up a new Kooka Regulation to the oppo and I hate all things Port Adelaide

Fair dinkum!

I agree with this its not community cricket

Players and coaches involved in premier cricket are theoretically 2 performances away from the test team

so if i read this right and am happy to be corrected
WT forgot to pack a second ball - poor preparation
PORT wouldnt lend them one - many players looking to play at higher level, money invested into their wins, within their rights as its not their responsibility to help a rival club
WT coach threw the toys out of the cot again because he didnt get his way- may be a great bloke and coach but has a history of petulant behaviour when things dont go his way - and clearly has affected his chances to go higher
WT suporters blaming others for the organisation they support making a mistake that would not suggest high performance

What’s the theoretical performance you need to play to go from Grade cricket to Australia in 2 games do you think?
300no against a West Torrens/Kensington/Glenelg side then a 1st and 2nd innings double ton against a state side?

its theoretical champ you can make it what you want just back it up

Poor sportsmanship not too.

Not condoning Hags behaviour but **** me it’s just a ball.

Agreed. We are a volunteer run club and a volunteer who gives hours and hours to the club made an honest mistake with the balls. There were extra balls in the kit, just the wrong colour! Hope all other clubs have perfect volunteers!

Great win by West Torrens today to defeat the Browns amidst all the controversy of the week. A promising start to the season, new player Jack Carson making a significant contribution in his first game.

With the merging of the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia, to become Adelaide University for 2026, does that affect any of their sporting organisations? Even if just colours/nicknames? Or just business as usual for the Blacks?

My point exactly, mistakes will be made. Professionally run sports clubs make mistakes also.

Change of topic - with regard to the 2 divisions as we know it was 2 up, 2 down at the end of last season.
This season I've have heard it may only be 1 up, 1 down but haven't been able to confirm if this is the case (or otherwise)?

I get it, but dont throw the toys out of the cot because the oppo acted within the laws of the game. At that level of cricket it's about what gives you the best chance of a win and points, sorry you blokes can open up with used nut.

That is unless you thought the Pakis should've called Hilditch back in Perth in 1979, Jones should've given not out against SA when Hookesy run him out and we should've called Bairstow back.

Bottom line the spirit of cricket and sportsmanship is playing to the letter of the laws of the game.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Kyle Scrimegour just took 9/27 vs Jets. All out 78.

I wonder if that's the all-time best bowling figures in an innings for Prospect?

Believe it or not, it isn't!

I think I saw this morning that Kyle's figures are the 4th best on line. There's been 2 x 10 wicket hauls and a 9/7.

Still, an absolutely brilliant performance. Young lad in the 3rd grade took 8 fa aswell. Not too often you'd go back to the Club pretty chuffed with your 8 fa only to be beaten by someone else.

Good day for the Pirates

Interesting that Kensington have declared immediately after passing Glenelg's score, about 25 minutes into the day.

I wonder if the teams have agreed to an overs split?

Pitch vandalised maybe?

A shame not to see two of the better teams square off. Fraser-McGurk was named for this game

Didn’t they also transfer round 1 due to the poor condition of the outfield? Piss poor by the Charles Sturt Council if that’s the case. A Quick Look at their fb page and you can see a post congratulating themselves for putting an effort in to pump water off the oval during the footy season.

4 rounds gone and no more red ball games until January.
TTG and Sturt look safe to avoid the drop already as they are in effect 4 games clear of 7th-placed Glenelg with only 6 games remaining.
Uni look pretty much guaranteed to be relegated unless they somehow recruit a heap of Poms (not likely even with their extra points allowance).
Adelaide probably doing better so far than what most people may have thought.
Preparing greentops backfired on Port and Kensington over the weekend.

Can't help but notice the plight of both northern(ish) clubs.

TTG currently top of division 1.

Northern Districts bottom of division 2.

Similar demographics to draw from. If anything things should be easier for the jets given their country zone is undergoing considerable growth and the close location to the club.

Clearly both are spending some cash.

So the difference can only be culture and the ability of management to lead the club well and make good decisions.

Well done TTG (so far).

Might be a few grounds tribunals to be held in the next few weeks.

Glenelg will want the full points for the game at Henley being abandoned
