Not sure what the income NM get for playing in Tassie as I couldn't find anything in last years report but NM made $269k in 2023 whilst increasing their football ops spend by $3m from the year before. I presume just looking at the raw numbers that this money helps them fund their football operations whilst keeping them in the positive for the year. Without this money I guess they cut their expenditure in the football ops department

That’s all great but how does that increase their chances of getting the W whilst playing in WA twice instead of Tassie where they did appear to have an advantage on field.

I guess in an ideal world, all clubs should get the same amount of blockbusters and prime time slots which boost their sponsorship dollars and membership tallies, Until then, and barring the equalisation fund, clubs like North need to do this type of thing to survive.

Maybe the AFL could put a fair program at the top of the list of priorities, not have clubs playing each other for the first time in Rd 24, teams finishing 8th getting 2 games against 17th and 18th and 17 and 18 only playing each other once, even distribution of prime timeslots to try improve sponsor and member numbers etc etc

Minor Premiers somehow getting to play 17 twice doesn't seem like something that should happen but hey crowds are up and Dill and Kane get their bonuses while grassroots football continues to suffer so the game has never been better.

Until the AFL puts the game ahead of making money the rich clubs will keep getting richer and the small clubs will keep having to be innovative.

Hell they gave Hawthorn $1M for winning the McLelland when it was decided by their womens side that beat 1 finalist throughout the season.

Outrage probably needs to be directed at why we need to sell the home games not that we have.

Pagan and Carey are right at the top when it comes to the footy club....

If North wanted to do a proper promo video surely 85% of it is Carey , throw in Blightys torp and a few other highlights???
