There's this idea with some coaches that they're "great coaches" - whatever that means - and therefore it's blasphemy to suggest that perhaps after a decade or two it's time to consider whether the playing group would benefit from someone new in charge.
Strange concept to me, in the context of professional sport, but anywho.
