Australian International Summer 2024/25

First Class Cricket Talk (International and State)

In Perth India set themselves up. They shot the magic bullet when touring Australia and that’s turning the Australian public against their own. Enter Adelaide and Mohammad Siraj needs the first mention. He ignited the flame to get the Australian public back on side - Doing that in Adelaide with Travis Head as the target is complete stupidity in that location.

Got belted in Brisbane and saved by the rain.

Enter Melbourne and Virat Kohli again shot Bambi just like Siraj did in Adelaide. If that delivered an immediate wicket it’s a master stroke, it unfortunately did the opposite and it’s likely going to make India pay. These guys are clearly divided and do their own thing. If this was an orchestrated and deliberate tactic whoever suggested it should be shot.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Thats the challenge for the 'rampers' of test cricket.

Can be a real successful shot and throw a bowler off their line.

Also really easy to set a field to and the shot can lack control.

Keen as to see how Sam Konstas takes on his second test innings, you feel there will be a few Pant moments from him.

Round 1 Samball :prayer:
Round 2 Bumrah ?

Ramping is a low percentage shot in regards to games that go between 2-5 days, in my opinion
If the whizzkid tries the ramping stunt again , the worlds best bowler will most likely teach the teenager a lesson

Interesting the margin for error at test cricket and how it changes your perception on things..

Sam Konstas plays and misses trying to ramp in the 1st innings - if he edges or gets bowled your views would be completely different.. instead he gets away and suddenly it’s “Samball” and everyone is singing his praises.

Pant plays (and ugly) ramp, gets fair bit of it but is caught at 3rd man and you’re all laughing and ridiculing his shot.. if it went for 6 you’d be sucking him off.

Honestly though, the comments in this thread are becoming tiresome - rarely is there anything positive written, it’s always critical.. from over rates, to shots played, to batting intent to how people wear their sunnies.
