Running at Caulfield Race 4, a much better chance today.

Running in Bendigo today. Race 6 Jockey change. Lachlan Neindorf has gone on. Obviously highly rated by Stokes to bring him over. Has one other ride in race 7 for him as well. Has one ride in race 1 for another ex Adelaide trainer Michael Sheperdson.

Might all up the three of them.

Wins at Mornington yesterday. $5.50.

Missed it.

Putrid day for punting.

I got 1st, 2nd & 4th in most tri's, missed out by one horse in most of my F4's, there was a period where #7 was a monty, even when I jumped on that as the standout a minor placing would rob me of a F4.

Some each way value in the blackbook today.

Kilmore R6 #7 Star Honour. Wait for a later price as the wide draw will be a factor. Charges late but could get a bit far back from Gate 14. Back in class, building fitness, hopefully close enough to run over the top of them today. Would prefer a longer straight but worth a spec.

Emerald R4 #10 Sweet Fantasy. First look at the track but draws a suitable gate in barrier 5 today having been held up in the straight last start. Would like to see it settle off pace. Gets 5kg on the main rivals in the race and 1280m is about its winning range, maybe slightly short. Retains Chambers in the saddle who should know what she's got under the hood. Happy to have a play EW.

Good luck

Well bugger me, for all that may remember A Pound Of Salt was thrown out there by one of us about a year ago,a punters nightmare once trained by Peter Stanley and riddin by the sibblings, just about always missed the start and ran on giving hope.
Changes stables to Todd Howlett and is up and about, but i won't be backing it, what ever it is on it will wear off eventually.
Stanley stable 15 starts 1 win 1 second 3 thirds.
Howlett stable 3 starts 1 win 2 seconds.
Or is it that Howlett knows what he is doing, who knows, that's racing.

Police have confirmed testing of the poisoned section of the Gold Coast track has uncovered ingredients used in weed killer.

Queensland Police confirmed the findings on Monday afternoon, more than a week after a section of grass on the course proper was damaged heading into the rich Magic Millions Carnival.

Police said there were still no suspects and that initial testing of the track found Glyphosate, a herbicide, had appeared to have been used on the damaged portion of the track.

Further tests to confirm the origin are ongoing.

Superintendent Brett Jackson said it was still too early to say whether the damage was deliberate.

"Whether it can be some fault in equipment, whether it could be a staff issue, in fact, if it was someone trying to damage [the track], that's all part of the investigation," he said.

Evergreen Turf and VRC track manager Liam O'Keeffe were called in to help the Gold Coast Turf Club repair the damaged track before last Saturday's $14.5m meeting, however a deluge of rain on raceday saw the meeting postponed after three races.

The meeting will now be run on Friday night.
