So Peake, instead of doing what he was doing before and just rotates/gives strike back to JFM conventionally, goes for the ramp. He misses, then goes for an aggresive stroke and is bowled. Classic T20 batting behavior.

Did well until that shot, been impressed with JFM tonight, hasnt tried to smash every ball out the park and worked the good balls around, good to see

Peake was doing well; that's what's frustrating, doing that. Then Seifert gets a good ball and suddenly the Heat are right back in it.

The guy is 22 years old. if he is doing this at 25 or older i would be more inclined to be harsher but he is still learning figuring it all out i think. bowlers will win most of the time. hopefully a few good learning years will see him be a pain for sides in a few years.

Seen an article in the Herald Sun about possible rule changes for BBL15. Amongst them are designated batters (so all they do is bat, don’t bowl or field) and the possibility of double plays on the same ball, but only for runouts. So you could run out both batters on the same ball, it wouldn’t include instances where a catch is taken and then you can run out the other batter.

Surely one hand, one bounce is next lol

They should also have bases, instead of wickets. Four sounds good, so you can get more batters involved.

Maybe have multiple innings, too. Shorten them from 20 overs to something much smaller. That way we'll see the best batters more than once.

This new game sounds amazing!!

Personally I actually like the idea of a squad that could feature a specialist batsman / bowler that only does that.

Nothing too crazy, maybe just a side of 12 or 13 - with 1/2 nominated batsmen and 1/2 nominated bowlers.

I've also said before, but Power Surge should be allowed to be taken whenever you like even before 10overs.. or even split the surge into 2x 1 over blocks.. or imagine if the batting side could choose the bowler for the power surge

Be good to be able to retire batsman as you see fit if they're battling as well

They should just have one batter at a time and a cone at point that the batter has to run around and back to complete a run, the bowler doesn't have to wait for him to be ready before bowling, oh.................and tippy go.

The Super Sub was brought into ODI's too in 2005 but lasted less than a year before it was abandoned.

The BBL has had a replacement player rule before too, the 'X Factor'.

Wasnt there a story of around that time of Glenn McGrath rocking up to an ING match with just his bowling boots and he was asked where's your kit and he looked around the room and said, "I'm not F***ing batting..."
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

They should win and I'd like to see them win but interesting to see how the three Thunder spinners go against the Hurricanes at Bellerive, the three spinners have been a huge part of the Thunder's success this season.

A few other points- I want to know how Garton bats above McAndrew and Andrews? They are better batters than him.

And it didn't really occur to me until last night- the final is on Monday, wouldn't it make more sense to have it on Sunday with the public holiday the next day? Unless it's to do with travel/training?
