Looks great on Insta.

Its probably only 7-800m long at the moment I reckon, still worth having a look, its pretty impressive what they have done. I believe the long game is that it will all connect up to Hallett Cove trails once they do the refinery re-purposing, which will then in turn connect to the metro beach walks and then through to Glenthorne NP/HV Res/Sturt Gorge and through to Lofty.

I wish it was true but they aren’t even making a dent.
Virgin’s devaluation on their FF program is a massive own goal and they are going to have to walk it back a touch.
If they tidied up a few parts of their business model they could well and truly give Qantas a shake so hopefully the Qataris can start making some waves

A lot of airlines have devalued it - CX included
The Qataris are inflitrating everywhere
BA even use Avios now
Considering what Qatar did during the pandemic, compared to The Flying Rat, Qatar could rightfully call themselves our "national carrier"

I have started using Point Hacks Travel
I had tickets home (Melb) on QF but couldn't get there with QF or Virgin

They found me flights Melb to Bali using Ethiad Guest but flying Garuda. Cost - $120 consultancy fee

Good thing about hoarding unencumbered AMEX points & pay.com.au
This week I've booked flights for the year through QF, JL, CX, EY & BA

Just booked for the B&I Lions Test in Sydney

Virgin $280
QF $490

I am actually surpised how cheap they both are considering how many people will be going but I suppose the B&IL tourists will be in Melbourne the week before

BA have used Avios for many years but the difference now is that IAG who are the owners of BA and Aer Lingus are 25% owned by Qatar. Qatar has stakes in numerous airlines including Cathay Pacific and soon Virgin Australia.
I’ve been playing the points games and have flown around the world purely in first or business class and I whilst it has become harder it’s still worthwhile. We are off to the cricket in the Caribbean this year and so far on points I’ve booked, Singapore Airlines business Adelaide to Singapore to KL. Qatar business KL to Doha then first class to Cairo. ITA business Cairo to London via Rome, Virgin Atlantic business London to Boston. Haven’t booked anything from US to Caribbean or back to Europe yet but then have London to Singapore via Bahrain online Gulf Air business before finishing with Singapore Airlines business back to Adelaide. Last year we had about 25 International flights all on points and in business/first.
I book it all myself as it’s a bit of a hobby for me and I used to do it for a friend who was a TA

Penny drop moments (inspired by Boon's new profile pic).

Listened to Wired World of Sports the other day on a walk, and the cricket scene with Richie in particular.

There was a bit of a wag however in the Indian tail with Snake Sharma and Alarv Slimdusty putting on a good partnership of 52, and almost getting India back into this match. Both men were scoring freely particularly square of the wicket, and it was a brilliant piece of captaincy by Allan Border that eventually broke this pair up, when he decided to bring in a short, backwards square. David Boon the 5' 2" Tasmanian with the flared pants was the perfect choice.

Took me far too many years to get the joke

This I jointly rate, and am given the shits by. Rate trumps shits in this case, so:

Doing the weekly shopping, at the till I made smalltalk with the checkout chick while she swiped the goods over the scanner. She finished and announced the total. I went to tap the card and noticed the displayed total was some $20 less than the quoted amount. After leaving I inspected the docket to determine the discrepancy - and discovered that the chick had cheekily entered a "pensioners discount" after giving me the original total.

Trust me to pick the checkout operator with daddy issues

Cracking weekend.

Friday night, 21st at The Maid n Magpie
Saturday afternoon, sausage sizzle at a mates place
Saturday night, kicked on at home with some classic Zeppelin
Sunday morning, hit the gym
Sunday afternoon, two mates over for a swim and a beer, baby sat the 3 year old nephew, roasted some lamb for 6 hours
Monday morning, Brighton/Seacliff loop with the family, took in the sculptures
Monday afternoon, watched Clarkson, May and Hammonds last Grand Tour
Tuesday morning, just got out the pool after a gym session

Someone call Barry, tell him I'm living.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Often sport stars can be a tad over rate in these kind of honours but not in the case of Neale Daniger.

Worthy winner, supported by all. Great to see.
