Goes to show how piss poor South are at translating that into senior success. Centrals are right up there again and Sturt are the only team that could scare Glenelg.

I like this idea, the SANFL's version of Peel Thunder

Taking into account the money that the SANFL poured into Port Adel, they should bail out west adel.

Not a fan of any AFL reserves club playing in the SANFL.
Ask the other WAFL clubs their feelings about Peel

They’d still be the Crows Reserves, just in red and black guernseys. And much like Peel Thunder they’d be a much more dominant force than they currently are.
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

I can't speak for Westies supporters, but I'd rather die in a ditch than see my club get taken over by an AFL club. What would be the point in having another team running around wearing your jumpers?

If it's a choice of extinction or aligning with the Cows, I'd go the latter, personally. Each to their own.

For those of you that care about the 11th team in SANFL

https://sanfl.com.au/league/news/new-era-for-sanfl-umpiring/

Good move to have closer ties with the AFL umpiring dept IMO, will help make the positioning in the SANFL more contemporaneous.

"Blow, show, go"
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Nearly most clubs have been through it included my North in the Early 2000s which including marching down North east Rd on a Saturday morning before a Glenelg game at Prospect and got belted and my young daughter couldn't even wave her new flag in the grandstand as we went goal less in the first half :(

There is one giant difference. West are getting support from the SANFL and the other clubs. North got none because at the time the SANFL were hellbent on having an 8 team competition to remove the bye. The powers that be were hopeful that North would fold or merge.

Dual Glenelg premiership mentor Darren Reeves has been installed as the new coach of the West End State team as it prepares to tackle the VFL and WAFL in 2025.

Having guided the Bays to back-to-back crowns in his first two seasons at the helm, Reeves’ next challenge will be aided by the support of assistant coaches Paul Thomas (Central District senior coach), Sam Jacobs (Woodville-West Torrens senior coach) and Sam Mayes (North Adelaide development manager).
