12 runs and a wicket off the 45th over, 7/254 NSW are now

Need 72 off of 5 overs to win

64 off of 4 overs, would be a most memorable win if they do get them...

I guess Young had the more talent and that's what the SACA went for. As it worked out Young got pretty unlucky with injuries and Marsh has become a very fine cricketer and more importantly captain. Not a terrible decision as at the time Marsh was more a bowler than a batsman and so was Young. Young was the better. Marsh has become a batting allrounder since leaving SA. Good luck to him.

TA 325
NS 275

Im a bit dumbfounded at the voting on this game

MARSH 109*[99]
HADDIN 138*[116]
GEEVES 2/27[9]
WEGMAN 4/44[8.5]

It was given

3 MARSH
2 HADDIN
1 GEEVES

Should have been

3 HADDIN
2 MARSH
1 WEGMAN

That innings of HADDINs was one of the alltime greatest centuries in domestic o/d history
To give MARSH 3 votes is very strange

not really mal, how often does a player in a loosing side get BOG in footy? Marsh's performance set the game up for the tigers

You have to be impressed with the figures of Geeves today
9 overs 2/27
when the sides combined for 600 runs in 98.5 overs.

How good is Tasmania? They just keep on finding these bowlers! Wegman?? Isn't that the dude who does those posters apres grand finals?? :?

Yep, the Kat got a donut but how good is Haddin? How can they pick Hodge ahead of him in the pretend cricket has got me beat.

A well deserved victory for the Tigers who along with the Warriors already look to have a fair old jump on the rest. At least we've got the Hobart/Perth double out the way but we just don't look like it in the one dayers for the second year in a row.

Haddin brilliant again, i really rate him and i agree with REB about him and Hodge. On the votes Mal it was an amazing innings but its probably fair that they gave Marsh 3 votes, he set up the game for Tasmania and they did win the game largely because of that innings.

P.S Spelly, i thought this game could have went in the thread for all other domestic cricket

Pup

Do we really want 1 season-long thread to cover all games not involving SA?

That could be a real pain I reckon
