Well deserved. Only a ******* idiot would think that’s a good idea without any physical repercussions!

If true (I'm a cynic to online claims); correct. Stumps should be reserved for players. And end of story.

Well, wasn't that fun! Ryan Harris is as good a psychologist as a coach. The players went from the past sentiment 'here we go again', to 'yes, we can'. And how good is the feeling when it comes off. Sangha has really put his name up in lights, ahead of Konstas, imo.

I know the fella well.

Terrific bloke who has had a positive involvement in cricket at community level for as long as i've known him.

End of the day it's not something that the average person would do or would thnik it's right to do but hardly the crime of the century under the circumstances. Not if he snatched the stump or a bat out of a players hand or assaulted someone.

Pathetic by Channel 7 to sensationalise a virtual non event when 100% of the focus should've been on SA winning the Shield.

1: I don't really get the sentiment, it's a stump, it's just a piece of wood without the signatures.
2: I don't really get the sentiment even at community level, we won a premiership many moons ago and every one ran for the stumps, it was an away game so I went and bought the home club a new set. I wonder if any players still have them?
3: It probably should've been a priority for the ground-staff etc. to get straight to them, with the stump mic and it was quite obvious that someone would make an attempt for them, probably could've avoided the headline, it hardly "marred' the win.

I understand a player taking a stump but not some spectator who didn’t play

Be great to head around to someone's man cave to see the stump they pinched and tell them how much of a flog they are.

WTF you going to do with it? Hardly something I'd display with pride as opposed to the pieces I have from GF wins I played in. ( Two balls and a bail framed )

I saw this kind of thing yesterday, our C Grade played in a home grand final and lost by three runs, amongst the opposition (Southern Warriors CC) celebrations they had two players go straight for the stumps and grabbed one each, they eventually settled down and put them back near to the other stumps. When they grabbed them I did joke with the guys near me that they can't take them as we need them for next season. They're new stumps too as one of our committee members got club stump stickers made and put on 4 sets of new stumps, he was there and even he joked they better not take them because of all his work to get them made.

Nathan McSweeney declared Jordan Buckingham as BOG in post match celebrations. I had money on Manenti.

We had to bat for 18 overs on day 1 of a GF one day against a bowler who had torn us apart a few times, we promoted our spinner to open who was listed to bat at #10, he got out in the first over of the 2nd day for a duck, he partied harder than any other of us, he felt ripped off for not winning the Norm Smith too.

Surprised their announcing BOG's this early in the piece!!!! I know they've got their pressos this Saturday night but thought they would have had a few more days left in them.

P.s. was going to use the term early doors but thought better of it.
