Went up to Berri Saturday morning and stayed at the https://riverbush.com.au/ River Bush Huts. 4 x 3 bedroom ( Queen, Queen, 2 x single ) huts all a 2 minute drive down to your own little landing on the river. The huts are perfect for a group getaway, about 50m apart they'd be the perfect spot for 2 or 3 families to head up to. Can recommend.
Popped into the Berri Hotel for a quick couple ( took $600 out the pokies ) and a few bets Saturday lunch time, went to the Mallee Fowl Restaurant for dinner Saturday night, what a cool little joint that is and then Sunday we wallowed away on the banks, in the river or sitting with our feet in it in the shade of some beautiful old gums. Downed a dozen icy pales on Sunday before getting surprised by the girls when it was BBQ time with a tomahawk steak each for the lads which I might add I nailed even though a dozen deep then I sat down and watched Hinkley kick Mitchells arse in public with some frost CC cans.
Into Waikerie for a pie on the way home yesterday, cracking weekend to start a nice little run of long weekends and time with friends.

Used to love the Waikerie Bakery, it was our one stop in both directions when we traveled to Mildura on a regular basis.
Then on one occasion they blatantly shafted us and another few as they served locals before us who had walked straight up to the counter despite there being some sort of orderly line. I bit my tongue for some time and then came out with the "Am I f****** invisible?" Then the missus started along with everyone behind us.
Blacklisted now. Went to Lake Bonney not long ago and tried the other bakery out instead, I lost again as that one was atrocious!![]()

Drove back from NSW Monday and line up at Yamba started 5km back. Took just over 90 minutes to get through. Couldn’t believe the amount of traffic heading this waySpargo wrote:The roads this week. A lot of people have taken the whole week off…

Didn't want to go through the visual spectacle that makes up the Far West of NSW?
