Without knowing any of the details this staggers me. I know it wasn’t going to be overly hard to increase crowds and membership after the strong on-field performance of 2006 (membership up about 50% I think) but Phil did an excellent job of promoting the club in his 12 months in the job, and I felt he would have done a very good over what will be a difficult summer ahead.

Surely it cant be a performance issue. Too many egos out of control down there.

Whats your issue Red and Black? You dont agree with my post or you have an issue with me?

Always good to hide behind an alias and throw stones and accuse and comment.

Once again there were reasons but its not the point of the matter with whats happening at South!

I don't doubt it from what I have seen of him. However there are plenty of blokes at north who get stuff all of the ball and use it poorly aswell.

As a south fan whats his tackling like?
Never give a sucker an even break

Nor ban a user for an acceptable topic of discussion.

"Baby on board". Why dont you put a sign on ur car saying "adult on board" or "car stereo in use"?

I think LBT is a Glenelg fan mate.

Seems a strange decision. I've always liked his ideas. Would love to see him work in some way at the Eagles or back writing in The Messenger.

*clunk* (sound of penny dropping)

Finally worked out why Cahill got rid of Potts, He just walked in and said,

"How the F*** can you lose a Grand Final to Glenelg????? Theres the door......"
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

The same Wayne Slattery that took West Adelaide Under 17's to the spoon?

The same Wayne Slattery that had some of the parents of that team complaining about him because of his abusive/abrasive manner and complete lack of feed back?

Good grief....
He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

Panther supporters need to get along to their AGM and seriously, get some answers out of their President and Board.
A number of loyal off field servants have left the club under less than ideal circumstances, player rumblings aren't going away, and the South GM sprouts on about 'off field' success. Forget that they have been virtually gifted the oval by the state govt and their god awful pokies are in the ideal demographic area for high turnover.
It's easy to shoot the Marketing Manager for example, particularly when his replacement is lined up ready to go, but at least get them to explain their actions to their members, if nothing else.

The pathetic fiasco that was our season 2007 has to be the final straw.

I'm quite comfortable with what's happening with the mass exodus because it's nigh time the club was turned on its head and sorted out. Let's face it, what's been happening before hasn't worked so why continue with it?

A ruthless, no-bullsh!t approach is needed and that's what Jack Cahill seems to be implementing.

I've got total confidence in whatever changes Jack sees fit to initiate on and off the field no matter how drastic they are. Being a SANFL coaching legend he knows a thing or two about achieving success at this level so we should embrace him to the hilt.
