After 15 rounds every team has now played each other once so the current top eight are the teams who probably deserve to play finals. However, with six matches to play the season certainly isn’t over for One Point Kickers. It’s pretty hard to make a case for the rest being two games plus percentage behind so at best it’s One Pointers in and someone out if there is a change. What probably won’t change is Trades of Glory winning the minor premiership. Glory had a wobble for a few weeks there but now has its scoring back on track as evidenced by a thumping win over 8th ranked Cellar Dwellers. Fourth ranked Giants looks the main threat but might struggle this week due to a possible over representation of GWS players in this week’s bye round. Last time the Giants had the bye the Legends massively underscored. Bold City is also back on track after a bit of a wobble while they and Benno likewise will be looking over their shoulder at SKZ who have been in decent form of late.

It was a case of the rich getting richer in Round 17 as the top six teams all won to basically lock up their finals places for next month. The highest ranked team to get into strife this week was Hampstead Hawks who kept the door ajar for Red Devils as the Devils got the upset. One Point Kickers and Red Devils the only two outside of the eight although the Devils have SKZ and Trades of Glory in the last three weeks so it would be a surprise finals appearance if they could qualify. From Beige on down they are GAWN. At least relegation is off the table in this league.

With one match left in the minor round for the season, it’s looking like five teams are the most likely to contend for promotion next month. Bold City got back into the top four after SKZ lost their match of the round to ladder leaders Trades of Glory who got back on the scoring horse after an off week the round before. Glory’s main contender for the premiership appears to be Giants Legends who topped the scoring for the round as they eclipsed top eight side Hampstead Hawks. Benno’s Beasts are also looking strong and it is the top four, along with young Sadie’s SKZ who look the most likely for Divvy IV next years. Can’t really have the bottom three of the eight to advance too far but outside the eight the only team left standing Biege Badgers has arked up just in time to keep their season alive.

The Badgers have the percentage to leapfrog Cellar Dwellars who have a tough last round match against Bold City Barras. Meanwhile, PowerFailure will be out to spoil that Badgers party and he can sink the Biege boys if he gets up this week.

Before last week's record breaking week, Trades of Glory had one of the highest scores in Hogg history and during last week’s scoring bonanza he showed a peek of that form as he smashed out 2750 to eclipse Red Devils in the last round. Giants Legends confirmed they will be Glory’s main challenger for this premiership after they pumped TheSuns while the Badgers bobbed up with a season saving run as they flogged Failure and booted Cellar Dwellers out of the top eight at the eleventh hour. In the Quallies I reckon Glory and Biker Babes will be too good and in the knockouts I reckon the Hawks can repeat the dose against Fine Wines and the Badgers will be too good for SKZ. Of those that missed it was One Point Kickers and Razorbacks who at least managed to go out as a winner.

The minor premier falling over in the first week of the SuperCoach finals is a fairly common event and so it has happened in Division V. Glory has dominated all year but fluffed their lines against the Barras in the first qualifying final. Giants Legends predictably won through so congratulations Bold City Barras and Giants Legends as the first two teams to promoted to Hogg Division IV next season. Minor premier Glory has a tough Semi as well up against Biege Badgers who were impressive in their dismissal of SKZ in their knockout final. Hampstead Hawks have outed themselves as cooked above so Benno's Beasts gets an armchair ride into Divvy IV next year as they should win and win well. But who goes up with them, Glory or Badgers. It would be a choke of England cricket team preportions if Glory failed to go up after the year he has had.
