Not sure it was meant as a compliment, but it did make me chuckle.

Minus the positive spin.

Not a lot to be positive about at either club this season.

% after round 21

60s - Eagles and Tigers
70s - Roos, Bombers and Port
80s - St Kilda
90s - Carlton, Melbourne, Swans
100s - N/a
110+ - Everyone else.

Oh shit, I didn't realise our percentage was worse than the Saints and Carlton.

Port Adelaide is increasingly hopeful that an application for Dougie Cochrane to join its Next Generation Academy will be approved by the AFL.

Yeah boy.

Any reason why they didn't make an application when he was 13?

Interesting to see if the AFL inconsistencies continue...

Ryley Sanders -
Due to his Indigenous background, he was linked with the North Melbourne Next Generation Academy (NGA), during his final year in the Under 18 competition, although due to AFL rules around NGA’s, his draft rights could only be matched by North Melbourne if he was selected after Pick 40. He would instead be drafted by the Western Bulldogs with Pick 6, after North Melbourne used Pick 2 and 4 on Colby McKercher and Zane Duursma.[2]

Stuart ( their Father ) only began to explore his heritage last year, nothing was in place for Tom to be drafted under those conditions, Dougie may be able to with the AFL set to decide very soon on his eligibility.

Then we wait to see if they change NGA / Father Son bids at next years draft.

If you want to go far, go together.

4 week anniversary

Does 11 weeks still fit within the definition of ‘not too distant future’?

Given we've waited over 20 years for our second AFL premiership, 11 weeks for an ambiguous announcement is nothing!
