Bali is just an airport now,

I've been staying off the piss on Saturday's and waking up as fresh as a daisy at nothing o'clock on Sunday mornings and getting so much done.

I've now got an addiction to cooking a brisket in the smoker every Sunday, now the kids have cottoned on they seem to have to pick something up or drop something off each Sunday arvo which I absolutely love (apart from now I don't get as much leftovers for lunches for the week).

Last couple of weeks I've done some beef shorties to go with and then a lamb shoulder the Sunday just gone, it's hard to pick what I like best, I've totally perfected the brisket, even just the Coles ones are simply awesome.

So yeah, I look forward to each Sunday now as of Monday morning, I've told the kids dinner will be served @ 5pm, they just need to let me know by Saturday morning so I can get the right amount vegies etc.

I love restoring a family tradition that got a little lost in translation.

After COVID laid me out the week leading up to the 2024 Quorn Cup I cannot wait to crack my first can of the weekend around 11am Thursday morning. Wakefield, Crystal Brook, Wilmington, Quorn. It's one of the best weeks of the year and last year I missed out. Number 27 for me this year.

I am so half arsed at work already I doubt I'll even come in on Wednesday.

Getting better.

Was struck down on Wednesday 30th with a tight chest and a cough, by Friday it was a severe head cold as well, didn't do a thing all that weekend and then had lost my voice and was having cold sweats at 2am each morning and coughing my absolute ring up.

Voice started coming back a little on Wednesday after getting some antibiotics on the Monday, I was WFH unitl 10am and then had to come in to deal with issues that needed to be dealt with.

Here we are, 13 days later and my voice is still shagged, I'm flat as a tack and getting the occaisonal fit of coughing, at least I've been off the piss for a while now, had one night where I thought I'd try and kill off the lergy with a bottle of red but that also failed, bloody good Penfolds GSM too.
