36pts and a scrub on 18 where had an 8 and played all the way up 10

Played comp at Vines, leader in the club house at 39 points but 2nd was 33 points, made the turn with 18 points and parred 10 & 12 to have 24 points with 6 to play....ended up on 30

I know that's the case at south Lakes with it being 16 holes.

Didnt play too bad, just a couple of poor moments, really weird configuration at the moment with 3 holes closed and only 1 par 5 in play.

Pulled driver left into the trees.
Just a battling day. 34pts.

McCracken today
Cored greens which was slightly annoying.
In typical fashion put a ball in water on the 2nd.
And again on 3rd from the bunker in the left
And on 13th, shocking swing that came off the toe and went straight right.... into water... just straight to the next tee...
15 made birdie after being in the last fairway bunker on the left.

Finished with 32pts.
16 on both sides.

Forms filled out for McCracken Cup in October.

Score doesn't reflect how bad the round was. skulled a wedge hit the pin and somehow dropped, hit a tree OB and bounced back in, skulled a 6 iron on the par 3 ended up on the green, somehow chipped in out of a bunker, also hit an OB maker and bounced back to the middle of the fairway it was an absolute stinker.

Not really country, given its 30mins up the road. But good practice for when you go bush and fleece the locals

9 holes yesterday arvo, twilight but not officially twilight comp, that kicks off with daylight savings

played ok.

1.5 hole, left the pw short and the others gave me a little grief. one was on green and other off the green but they were both pin high.
anyway, i then chipped in and let them know about it.... then from off the green and a few bobbles along the way it drops and then the other also dropped. never been in a group that everyone has birdied the same hole and certainly never on that hole given how tricky the green is

We did try to get in at thaxted but no visitors on Saturdays. Sounds like numbers have picked up there.
