Little petty of me, but can't help giggling.

This whole rally stuff yesterday, got (Caucasian) people of FB blowing up getting wild coz there are multicultural people commenting on photos with saying things like "All the people on government handouts" etc.

It's funny that they're taking offence, coz it's basically the same commentary some of them have thrown out, and i've heard for years towards Aboriginal people..

Hurts when people judge / stereotype and spread non-truths doesn't it! Now shoe is on the other foot lol.

Gerard Whately saying there should be a "no dickheads" policy for future Legends Games, in light of the injury to Dave Hughes.

I'm presuming he means Hughesy shouldn't have been invited in the first place.

I think you'll find that was aimed at Gorringe, not Hughes.

Legends games aren't about busting people up, be them Dave Hughes or otherwise.

I only went back and watched the game the next night after hearing about the Hughes thing.

For memory Hughesy did something silly early on in the game. Regardless of that, if I heard the word "influencer" during the match I would stabbed my ears.

The match should be reserved for those who served the game for a minimum of 50 AFL games, there could be 2 celebrity spots perhaps (I'd rather none).

As for Gorringe, I was a bit of a fan of his until the other night, initially his claim to fame was paying himself out about his limited amount of games across two AFL clubs, he was a genuinely funny bloke, he came across as a complete knob in his speech after the game and even worse reading the shit about how he wants an apology from a former colleague who is also an "influencer" who just happened to play for the Vic Legends..................what a f****** circus, imagine Teddy watching this pus!

They would still fetch 30K+ without Gorringe beating his chest about it.

Timmy G told a great story about a Slowdown where Lleyton Hewitt played and the very clear instruction was to just corral him, not to tackle him as he's not a footballer.

Hughes dropped robbo off the ball to start it.
Hughes broke his ribs on an innocuous bump with Embly, not Gorringe.

And Guy Sebastian was afforded the same luxury, the players were getting a bit annoyed when he was selling candy etc and taking the piss out of it.

Maybe Hughes shouldn't have been a d***head himself
179cm v 200cm
Playing is one thing - rucking is another
Rugby Union would never allow a non-forward to be in a scrum

No sympathy

It was the first hit from Embley that did the damage. Embers was a big bugger in his day though, 190+cm and 90+kg

I reckon the Gorringe hit looked worse than it was, it was when vegan bones hit the deck he probably realised he was in a bit of strife.
