I'm presuming he means Hughesy shouldn't have been invited in the first place.
I think you'll find that was aimed at Gorringe, not Hughes.
Legends games aren't about busting people up, be them Dave Hughes or otherwise.
I only went back and watched the game the next night after hearing about the Hughes thing.
For memory Hughesy did something silly early on in the game. Regardless of that, if I heard the word "influencer" during the match I would stabbed my ears.
The match should be reserved for those who served the game for a minimum of 50 AFL games, there could be 2 celebrity spots perhaps (I'd rather none).
As for Gorringe, I was a bit of a fan of his until the other night, initially his claim to fame was paying himself out about his limited amount of games across two AFL clubs, he was a genuinely funny bloke, he came across as a complete knob in his speech after the game and even worse reading the shit about how he wants an apology from a former colleague who is also an "influencer" who just happened to play for the Vic Legends..................what a f****** circus, imagine Teddy watching this pus!
They would still fetch 30K+ without Gorringe beating his chest about it.
